  1. Hello, though there were not many updates recently, the product is definitely supported. As for the licenses, distributor in each country can set their own packages and bundles, so if the US support told you this product is not a part of the package you asked about, it probably is not - I can, however, not tell for sure, as I am based at ESET headquarters in Slovakia.
  2. Hello, what is the error message in the log, created according to the instructions in the screenshot?
  3. Hello COStark26, I have notified our US support team who should reach out to you and assist you with renewing your license. Regards, T.
  4. By saying "I reinstalled all software" do you mean that you also installed new ERA server from scratch, without migrating any of the old server's databases or settings?
  5. It is currently protected from being stopped via Task Manager, but again, users with administrator permissions can uninstall it just like every other software. (Regular limited users can not do that.) There are talks about possibly protecting the installation by a password, so it may make its way to one of the future versions.
  6. Hello, Please check whether you have the latest version of Apache HTTP installed. As we do not develop this software but only distribute it with our installer, it may be that there was a fixing update by Apache since you installed ERA.
  7. Hello ChrisWork, Yes, both ESET File Security v4 and v6 are compatible with Windows Server 2003 and ESET Endpoint products v4, v5 and v6 are compatible with Windows XP (Service Pack 3 may be required for the latest ESET product versions).
  8. Hello, How did you configure the Activation task? Does its execution tab say it has failed? If so, what is the error code?
  9. Hello, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will have a look at the issue.
  10. Hello, what is the error message in the task execution pane? Also, is there any related message in the ERA server's log?
  11. Hello, I suggest to create an installation log according to hxxp://support.eset.com/kb406/ and submit a ticket to our support team at hxxp://www.eset.com/us/support/contact-us/ Thank you.
  12. I am sorry, I got mislead. After importing the CA, the clients will start connecting, as their certificate is signed by a CA that is now recognized by the server (provided the IP or hostname of the server match so the clients can reach the server with their original settings). Then you can create a new certificate for future deployments.
  13. Even if the tray icon would be hidden completely, they can always go to the installation folder and run the GUI executable with administrator permissions from there.
  14. They are saved in a .dat file which is not in a plain text format. The folder is C:\ProgramData\ESET\<product name>\Logs
  15. Hello, did you check the Endpoint's exported configuration to see whether the policy has been applied correctly?
  16. Where do you want to import the peer certificate to? As for the server migration, you need to import the CA and the server certificate, not the peer certificate. EDIT: see post below
  17. Hello, Any user with administrator rights can perform changes that are not available for regular users, whether their user account is called Administrator or not. We do not make differences based on account names, rather we use the UAC platform provided by Windows. Thus, it is expected that a user with administrator rights will be able to overcome the restriction and run the GUI anyway.
  18. Hello, We released a compatible version yesterday, it is available on our download sites. For UK, it is hxxp://www.eset.co.uk/Download/Software/Product/MACB (or hxxp://www.eset.co.uk/Download/Software/Product/MACSB in case of ESET Endpoint Security)
  19. Hello banderi, Didn't the computer name of the server change? Can you check what object on your network has (or had) the ID d42ba487-bf5f-4c87-9361-9c5c7d76dd9b ?
  20. Hello, Are the clients with the permission issue same as the ones with the replication issue? If so, does uninstalling and reinstalling the Agent resolve the issue?
  21. Hi apatheia, As Marcos said, the notifications can be disabled in the Setup. However, the setting is not yet linked to an ERA policy, the developers are aware of the issue and we'd like to add the feature in the next release.
  22. I have not come across such issue. What version of Chrome do you use? Also, does the issue persist when you close all browsers, disable SSL scanning, open a browser, close it again, enable SSL scanning, open the browser again and browse some websites?
  23. As I said in that mentioned thread, you do not need to uninstall version 8 first. Also by directly reinstalling, you eliminate issues from points 3 and 4 from rugk's list - the settings will be kept and converted to the new format, as well as the license will be preserved. Users installing v9 as a fresh installation will have a link in the activation dialog to a username/password to license key converter. In case of activation issue after fresh installation, it is best to contact the local support office who will assist with the troubleshooting.
  24. Hi, we have introduced ESET LiveGrid with our v5 Windows products.
  25. Hello, I am glad to announce that we have just released new versions of ESET Cyber Security, ESET Cyber Security Pro, ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Mac OS X and ESET Endpoint Security for Mac OS X with added support for Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. The files are already available to download at our international site www.eset.com/int/download and the local sites should follow soon. T.
