  1. Okay, this is probably simple but i'm not seeing it or at least i'm not having much luck. I've got roughly 17 machines that have the real time scanning turned off (I believe, it's saying antivirus and antispyware protection is disabled. Is there a way to tell remotely what exactly that means?) A while back we had several machines we had to turn that off on due to the process they where running would get interrupted by the real-time scanning. Over time they've been re-purposed/renamed but we didn't get to turning real-time scanning back on. I've tried right clicking on one of the machines, going to new task > configuration task > create > selected real time file system protection > clicking on mark > then console > save it > then hit next till i get to finish and let it run. I tested this on one of our machines, left it alone for 5 minutes logged in and it hadn't changed. I turned on real time scanning from the console locally and it's good now. Oh, forgot to mention. This is running ESET remote admin 5, and all the machines in question are ESET 5
  2. We've recently hit our license limit (currently running ESET 5 remote administration with plans to later upgrade to 6) Before management will approve buying another key/license we have to show how many machines are not getting updated. Is there any logs stating that a machine tried to connect but was rejected due to the license limit being reached?
  3. Also, would i be able to continue to update V4 clients while using the V6 remote console? I want to slowly do this to make sure things work
  4. Will i need to uninstall/reinstall V4 of the client on all of our machines or simply the server/console?
  5. I wouldn't mind going to 6.3 but there doesn't seem to be an option for it. I'm only offered 5.3 when i try to update through the software. Nor do i see the downloads online for 6.3 Though i'm only wanting to update a few machines at a time. Not all, though i'm assuming i'd be able to do a few if i've got the option to do all.
  6. I'm starting to get our systems updated from 4 to 5 and i've got a question or two. The first, if i do update the server and the remote console will that force all clients to download and update the newest version of the software, not just the definitions? I do want to update them just not all at once to save our bandwidth. I just want to do a few at a time. Also, when i was downloading the update files the website mentioned there was a V6 out but i only saw download links for V5. Is V6 not out yet or am i just missing it?
  7. We have several machines that are trying to connect and update at the same time on our network. This is causing a slowdown that is interfering with other processes.. We are currently using ESET remote admin 4.0138.0 (Not against updating it but that is for another time). With all of our client machines using ESET 4 As the title says, is there anyway to stutter or limit the amount of active downloads the server is giving at once? I want all the machines to update but doing so at the same time is straining our system.
  8. So, i've been thrown at working with our ESET solution recently. our system has a 2k3 server with ESET V4 installed. I'm looking at getting it updated, but i'm curious. Can version 5 or even 6 run on 2k3?
