  1. In the unfortunate situation that you have two machines with the same hostname, I recommend disabling the renaming options in ERA, as they allow for inputs to the same entry when not all the details match (such as IP, MAC address - in case of more network interfaces, etc.)
  2. Hello, I believe this is the correct behaviour, the Banking & Payment Protection feature offers you to launch the banking window in a protected browser - and the offer is shown on that URL. What do you consider wrong about that?
  3. The fix should be distributed automatically. From the nature of the issue, the notification is just triggered before the protection manages to start, so there is no security risk. As for the timeframe, it has not yet been set, but I believe it should not take long.
  4. Hello, as said above, please PM me for further instructions. We will need to gather some log files from when the issue occurs, so that our developers can have a look at it.
  5. Hello, First I would check what the log says - does the Agent run with admin rights? Also, are there any errors or warnings in C:\ProgramData\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Agent\EraAgentApplicationData\Logs\status.html ? Is the issue present on all Agents, or just on some of them? What OS do they run on?
  6. Hello, can you please PM me for further instructions? We will need to gather some log files from when the issue occurs, so that our developers can have a look at it. (Also link to this topic in the PM, for reference.) Thank you.
  7. Hello, According to our developers, they already know the cause of the issue and the fix should be distributed in a future update. Thank you for your patience.
  8. Hi, I only described the current status and its meaning. However, the only way to ask about a change in detection is to contact samples@eset.com Thank you for your understanding.
  9. In this case please contact your local ESET support office, they will provide you with steps that need to be taken in order to find the cause of the issue and activate successfully. Thank you.
  10. Hello, I tried but could not reproduce this issue. Could it be caused by a combination of other software, or an outdated graphics driver?
  11. Please also state whether the issue is present with any website, you just YouTube, so that we can test it properly.
  12. I'd suggest to contact the local support office as further logs will be needed to have a look into this issue. Thank you.
  13. Hello, if you mean DNS servers, these do not have to be specified in ERA. ERA uses a connection available in the OS, just as any other program.
  14. Hello, We have tested so-called micro PCU (program component update) when the version updates without the user's intervention, but only with v9 beta, not on v8. Additionally, the update will install only after the PC is restarted, not while it is running. What did the window say? Was it an update of the NOD32 Antivirus itself?
  15. Thank you for the feedback. The new UI uses a more flexible platform and allows us to scale and change it more effectively, so in case the feedback weighs largly in favor of some solution, we are more flexible to change it.
  16. Thank you for reporting this. I have forwarded the information to the responsible team.
  17. In many cases like this there is an https frame inserted in the http website - check whether this is not the case.
  18. Hello, I recommend to uninstall ESS and install it again. Should the issue occur again, please monitor the situation, whether there is any actual problem with the GUI when turning off the PC. If so, please contact the local ESET support office who will guide you to provide further logs for analysis. Thank you.
  19. Hello, In this case I recommend to follow the steps from this article: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2850/
  20. Hello, The only way how to submit files which you think should be detected and are not, or are detected and should not be, is to send them attached to an email to samples@eset.com Please compress them in a zip archive and use a industry-standard password 'infected' so that it passes any possible mail filters and reaches the destination email address. Thanks
  21. The file you mentioned adds these addresses to the blocked URLs in the HTTP address management: *.opencandy.com.s3.amazonaws.com*, *api.opencandy.com*, *cdn.opencandy.com*, *media.opencandy.com*, *tracking.opencandy.com* and these IP addresses to a firewall blocking rule: 54.231.3.5, 54.231.12.249, 87.248.217.253, 162.209.122.21, 205.186.183.254 Please note the file was not prepared by ESET and I only transcribed what I found inside
  22. Hello, we are working on adding support for screen readers in one of the future releases. However, please describe more the issue with high contrast. What doesn't work. Can you please post a screenshot? Thank you.
  23. ESET products can only be installed on the respective version, the 32-bit installer won't allow to continue on a 64-bit OS. However, I recommend to use the newer Linux-based ESET SysRescue, you can download it from hxxp://www.eset.com/int/download/utilities/detail/family/239/
  24. Hi, By design, all computers validated in dynamic groups already have the Agent installed, because the validation takes place on the Agent, so without it, the computer can't be in any dynamic group. Then you only need to specify that there is no installed software with a specific name.
