  1. Hello, We currently do not support Thunderbird due to their rapid release cycle. However, please note that "not having support" for email client only means you won't have the ESET toolbar with advanced options, like rescanning a message (and ESET Smart Security users won't have Antispam protection, but that does not concern you with ESET NOD32 Antivirus which does not have Antispam anyway). As for malware protection, all emails are protected as they are scanned on the communication protocol, regardless of the email client used. T.
  2. Hello Trevor, Have you tried their number 0860-373-872? If yes and you can't still reach them, please send me a PM with the email address that was used to register the license and I will have a look at it. Regards, T.
  3. Hello, please use English language on this forum, so that we are able to help you. Is your request related to this thread's topic (Scream/Sound feature)? If not, please create a new thread.
  4. Hi, VSD updates are not necessarily related to ERA connection, as the client may update directly from ESET's servers. Please check the client's settings, specifically the address to the ERA server. Is your server accessible under this address? (Haven't you changed the IP address or the hostname of the server?) T.
  5. Hello, "Error opening" means the file is currently being accessed (either by system or another application). "Password protected file" pops us when a file is protected by a password, thus nobody cas access the file without knowing the password. These messages are common and it is not necessary to be concerned about them. T.
  6. Hello, As our Mac product only scans HTTP traffic, websites running on HTTPS (secure connection) are exempt from URL evaluation, as the traffic does not flow through our product and we can't intervene and block/allow the website. Thank you for your understanding. T.
  7. Hello Andy, The unlocking tool has been updated to support ESS and NOD v9. You can find it at hxxp://support.eset.com/kb333/ Regards, T.
  8. Hi BrianA_MN, New users first need to be manually approved by moderators. You have now been approved and can post. Thanks for your understanding. T.
  9. Hello shathippens, Do you mean that even after applying the network.dll file on the ERA Server, the client computers are still slow? In our experience, either one or the other solution helped. In this case, please contact your local ESET support office for further investigation, as this may or may not be related to the issue discussed in this topic. Thanks, T.
  10. Hello, you can have a look at our article on this topic at hxxp://support.eset.com/kb146/
  11. Hello, what is the exact error message you are getting? Please follow the steps from hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2850/
  12. Hello, You can follow the steps described here: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2828/#reset2 Alternatively, if you enabled connection to my.eset.com portal, you can log in there and set a new device password from the device's settings (the device needs to be connected to the internet, so that it can load the new password and accept it).
  13. Hello, Threat entries are not considered to be logs, so the setting does not apply here. In this case you need to run a scan with cleaning from ERA so that the threats are cleaned and then they will be removed from ERA as well. Regards, T.
  14. Hello, The latest version of our ESET Uninstaller includes support for Windows 10 (previous versions had an issue with network adapters), please try to use it according to hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2289/and let us know of the result. T.
  15. Hi, You can add the website to the List of allowed addresses and then you will be able to access it. The list can be found in Setup > Advanced setup > Web and email > Web access protection > URL address management > Address list > Edit. Regards, T.
  16. Hello, Please check this folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\AV\<product name>\ There should be a tool that handles the upgrade. Does deleting it help getting rid of the notification that keeps popping up? T.
  17. Hello, As for 1) we do not have our own locating service, we rely on what the phone provides, thus we request the location from the phone and wait for an answer, the same as any other app. Do you get good GPS signal on the phone? Can other apps get the location in a reasonable time? Regarding 2) I'd recommend contacting your local ESET support office as it may be a device-specific issue and needs to be investigated further. Thanks.
  18. Hello, The download website at hxxp://www.eset.com/us/support/download/business/endpoint-antivirus/ features a warning saying that in case you are using ERA v5, you also need Endpoint Antivirus v5. With version 6 of our business lineup we made a rather large change in both backend and frontend of our products and thus there is limited backwards compatibility, meaning older Endpoint products can connect to the brand new ERA v6, but not the other way around (old ERA does not recognize the new Endpoint products and the way they connect). Therefore, you can either continue using ESET Endpoint Antivirus v5, or consider upgrading your network to ERA v6 (due to being completely rebuilt, it can't be upgraded to from v5 but needs to be installed as a new product). You can find more information about ERA v6 at hxxp://www.eset.com/us/products/remote-administrator/ and a guide on how to migrate from v5 at hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3607/ Regards, T.
  19. OK. As this is the latest version, please PM me for further details. We'll have the situation checked by our development team.
  20. Hello, As far as I know, this is not possible. You could transfer the whole database, but that would make a clone of the whole ERA server, not just the tasks and groups. Regards, T.
  21. Hi, Yes, in general, this is in accordance with our Unilicense concept, to be able to use the license on any OS. However, as respective distributors can set their own licensing policies, please check with the German ESET office to be 100% sure. Thanks
  22. Hi, most logs are not transferred to ERA by default. Once you create a report which asks for these logs (and they have an appropriate severity set on the client), the Agent will start sending these so that the report can be generated.
  23. Hi, There is a solution for business products - their license allows you to use ESET Remote Administrator which contains a tool to edit the settings. Home products are not meant for pre-configured deployment, thus the ability to edit the settings file is not present. However, if you manage to find which XML entry belongs to which setting and edit that manually using a text editor, the resulting file will indeed work in a home product as well. EDIT: Marcos, you beat me to it by a minute
