  1. Hello, The bank is indeed on our list and it is usually detected (I have just tested it). The issue may be with your browser, we are currently working on an update to the Banking and Payment Protection module that will add support for that build of Chrome. Once it is released, it will be downloaded automatically, you do not need to do anything.

  3. Hello, Yes, all our products can detect and clean any type of malware recognized by our detection engine, ransomware included. For our latest home products, we have even added a ransomware-behavior detection and after some fine-tuning, we plan to include it in the next generation of our Endpoint products as well. Regards, T.

  12. Version 8 used a completely different activation system, thus is not affected by changes in the current activation method. As for the error ACT.33, it is similar - it is related to a situation when a license is used in a different country than what the license has on file. Again, some licenses have a country lock (based on the country it was bought in), as part of license leakage prevention program. I am currently investigating what to do in case you want to legitimately use the product in the country restricted by your license and I will get back to you. Regards, T.

  14. Hello, The ACT.34 activation code shows up when a license is activated in a product with a different language than what the license has on file. Some licenses have a language lock (based on the country it was bought in), as part of license leakage prevention program. Thus, the activation will be successful after selecting the appropriate language in the installation. Regards, T.
  15. Hello, Let me explain this misunderstanding. In version 10, we have prepared 4 products (ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security, ESET Smart Security and ESET Smart Security Premium) - thus, it is not true that ESET Smart Security and ESET Internet Security are the same products, as mentioned by SM03, the feature comparison is posted at hxxp://support.eset.com/kb318/ The important fact is that each country's distributor (i.e. who has an exclusive deal with ESET) can decide which of these products will be sold on their market, based on their statistics of people's demand for the features. Thus, it can happen that resellers in one country will offer NOD32, EIS and ESSP, while in a different country that will be NOD32, ESS and ESSP. (I am not sure whether any country will offer all 4 of them, that would be too cluttered IMHO.) For the licensing specifics, please contact ESET's sales and support office in your country.   24. With trial license, you have access to all the features of the full version, with no restrictions. The difference is that a trial version is not supposed to be sold, it is just for evaluation purposes and usually last much shorter (a month, for example). You should check with your reseller why they sold you a one-year trial license instead of a regular license.
