  1. No, ESET is not. I believe this is the same issue we have seen reported in the past. See the section Why am I being offered a spam/fake ESET Users email list? in the following ESET Knowledgebase article: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb144/
  2. https://forum.eset.com/topic/7049-win-10-security-alert-personal-firewall-is-non-functional-even-after-reinstall/
  3. Until I hear otherwise, I think you can submit the miscategorized app using hxxp://support.eset.com/kb141/#SubmitWebsitethe same as other Parental Control submissions. I'm asking whether these requests are handled differently, but for now, submitting to kb141 will get your request looked at. Also, can you verify that you've set the exceptions properly following the instructions here: hxxp://help.eset.com/epca/1/en-US/rules_appguard.htm And can you try disabling app blocking and see if that allows it to run? 1. Open ESET Parental Control or log in to parentalcontrol.eset.com. 2. Select a child. 3. In the Application Guard window, tap Change rules. 4. Deslect Block inappropriate apps and then select an age group.

  8. ESS is not compatible with the Windows 10 "Mail" app: Which email clients are compatible with Windows ESET products?
  9. We had to remove the songs to protect Nigel from all the paparazzi...jk but I have inquired with our web team regarding the 404 page you mentioned and whether the content has been moved to another location. Just curios, but how much do you think that a first pressing, signed copy of the original CD would go for?
  10. I would say, after you've determined that a new version of MDC is available here hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3690/, use the component upgrade task: hxxp://help.eset.com/era_install/62/en-US/components_upgrade.htm
  11. The Windows 10 Mail app isn't supported with the ESET antispam toolbar hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2138/
  12. @PHC there are a few scenarios where we have seen this, one of which is related to user rights on the client workstation. I don't see a case open currently for your issue but I spoke with technical support and if you create a case, they will definitely be able to see what's causing the block (blocking ESET gui from opening). Email or chat: hxxp://www.eset.com/us/support/contact-us/
  13. I do think you should work with customer care on the issue, but from a purely self-support perspective to help users, we do have the following KB article if you choose to disable BPP: How do I disable Banking & Payment protection in ESET Smart Security/ESET NOD32 Antivirus? hxxp://support.eset.com/kb5704/ Also, regarding opening in a new window, it's not recommended to use the BPP for regular browsing (some of the reasons that Marcos mentioned), which could confuse people if it ran in the existing window (meaning, users may not know if they are running in BPP or not).
  14. ESET products don't install on iOS devices, see hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3242/#IOS For iOS (iPad and iPhone) security information, see hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3498/
  15. You should try contacting support here: hxxp://www.eset.co.uk/Support
  16. My understanding is this: the "all versions of ESS..." statement only applies to NFR or new purchases, which means you are just buying a new license--if you do that before your previous license expires, you will lose those days (there will be overlap). This has always been the case and still applies now. To get the most out of a license, you can renew up to 90 days before the license expires (in North America), and the new time period won't start until the existing license expires, so you don't "lose" any time (or activate a new license the day the existing one expires). Also see questions 7 and 16 from the Licensing FAQ: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2393/#ExtendLic Regarding "the ability to activate a new license and have your days remaining merge into the new licens," technically this licensing functionality doesn't exist in the Home licensing model (afaik), and any merging only applies to renewals (per q18 in the FAQ):
  17. We have a Knowledgebase article for doing this (adding privileged user) with ERA5; the concept is the same for ERA6 and the steps are identical when doing it on the client hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2823/
  18. I'm not familiar with a known issue regarding opening ESET on W 8.1. We have the ESET Knowledgebase article Can I use my ESET Endpoint product with Microsoft Windows 8.x? that lists known issues, but this one isn't on the list. I'll check with developers and technical support to see if others are reporting this as well.

  20. UPDATE: 1. We are working to update the "installed apps report" to display the correct version. 2. For reference, here are the current build numbers: Release Date: Tue, Nov 3, 2015 Build Information: EES/EEA 6.2.2033.0 ENU EES/EEA 6.2.2033.1 All other languages EES/EEA 6.2.2033.2 PTB EES/EEA 6.2.2033.3 ETI
  21. To summarize, the download server may display 6.2.2033.2 (or .1, .3 etc.) but the ERA Web Console may display a different .X number. X.X.X.0 and X.X.X.2 in an application layer is the same, so it is a mistake between ERA Web Console and the version check servers, which i am told they are going to fix. Rest assured, you are getting the latest version at this time (I have confirmed). I will update this thread (or my post if I receive other information contradicting in some way what I've said) when I receive further information.
  22. ESET Parental Control for Android has been released and is available to purchase and download from Google Play or ESET.com. 23. We have some documentation for this in the ERA Online Help: hxxp://help.eset.com/era_admin/62/en-US/index.html?admin_pol_flags.htm We are also currently working on some Knowledgebase articles that explain some task scenarios for when to use these (for instance, you should be careful using these because it can get confusing if there are a lot of policies you are using. The main thing to remember with this is that force will override any child policy and apply will block access to that setting on the client end. The policies are prioritized the same way they were in 5 so the child always wins any setting conflict.
  24. Just to confirm, this isn't an MSP-related issue, it is an ERA issue. As @Gonzalo Alvarez explains, ERA version 6 doesn’t have a hierarchical management system the way ERA5 did. Not sure of OS, but if Windows, this article may help (step 6 for LDAP part): hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3665/
