  1. We have an ESET Knowledgebase article that explains some reasons for this, as well as offers some solutions to try. The content is primarily directed to Windows OS, but most of the explanations/solutions are relevant for OS X as well. hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN117 Specifically, see the section anchor-linked here: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN117#special
  2. You can submit potential False Positives using the instructions found here: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN141 Closing thread.
  3. The recommendation for EFSW version 6 on Terminal server is similar to the previous versions, in that we recommend disabling the ESET GUI. See the following Online Help topic for more information and for instructions: hxxp://help.eset.com/efsw/6/en-US/terminal_server.htm
  4. Regarding Chrome, do you have SSL enabled? The following ESET Knowledgebase article may help: Create an SSL scanning exception for the service or device hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3487#exception If the above solution doesn't resolve your issue, you can submit a support request where they can troubleshoot the issue further.
  5. This error could possibly be due to an unsupported web browser--can you confirm your browser meets these requirements hxxp://help.eset.com/era/6/en-US/index.html?supported_browsers.htm
  6. Moving thread to ESS forum. After you reformat, reinstall ESET. How do I transfer my ESET product to a new computer? hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2213
  7. I have moved this thread to the forum Malware Finding and Cleaning. If ESET is blocking access to a website you believe is safe, you can perform the following two actions: 1) Report the website to ESET hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN141#SubmitWebsite 2) Exclude the website from scanning (the link below is for ESET home Windows products--links to business and OS X products are included in that Knowledgebase article) hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2960
  8. Sorry for the confusion, as Marcos said, this feature isn't supported on Android version 4.4 Kit Kat and above, which includes Lollipop (v5). For other users who want to use this feature with many contacts, you can create a group in your phone's contact list instead of a Google account and then select that group in EMS.
  9. See the EMS for Android FAQ for all compatibility requirements and issues: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2711 For the issue with Kitkat, that doesn't apply to other Android versions (see question #11): Android 4.4 Kit Kat usersSMS & Call Filter is not functional in the ESET GUI on devices running Android Kit Kat 4.4 due to new SMS/MMS handling on this operating system. Users running Android Kit Kat 4.4 will see messaging that alerts them to this issue.
  10. Can you provide a few more details, such as the product you're using (you posted to "General Discussion," if you simply post to the forum with the name of the product you're using, we can assume that is what you're using), what version, VSD, etc. (open ESET, Help and Support, About ESET..., select all in the Installed components section, right-click and Copy--paste that into your reply). Most issues related to this error that aren't malware related, are due to the product not updating and/or username and password entered incorrectly. For home products, you can try the instructions in the following Knowledgebase article in the mean time (it covers both of the primary issues). How do I know ESET Smart Security/ESET NOD32 Antivirus is updating correctly?
  11. Additionally, you can't use the home products (for example, ESET NOD32 Antivirus, EAV) with ERA. And, afaik, only the very old versions of EAV (4.x) could be installed on a server, with many manual configurations needed--which is why we released EFSW as rugk said.
  12. Here is the information regarding installation to a Domain Controller (found here and here): If you choose to install Microsoft SQL Server Express during ESET Remote Administrator installation, you will not be able to install it on a Domain Controller. This is likely to happen if you are using Microsoft SBS. If you use Microsoft SBS, we recommend that you install ESET Remote Administrator on a different server or do not select the SQL Server Express component during the installation (this requires you to use your an existing SQL Server or MySQL to run ERA database).
  13. All I can offer at this time is a few links to the help content we have available for this topic: Upgrading the Agent by deployment: hxxp://help.eset.com/era/6/en-US/index.html?server_tasks_agent_deployment.htm Upgrading the Agent manually (locally): hxxp://help.eset.com/era/6/en-US/fs_agent_deploy_local.htmhxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3595#local Troubleshooting Agent deploy: hxxp://help.eset.com/era/6/en-US/index.html?fs_agent_deploy_troubleshooting.htm Let us know whether any of these help, and/or if not, how they can be improved for your specific use cases.
