System footprint is size on disk . . . 1 is used to send TO eset, info about threats. 1 is used to collect data and simplify / reduce / consolidate etc database and info send FROM eset to you. This is what i have gathered.

Performing the steps you have stated is actually a very bad idea. Do not disable your AV just to plug in your external hard drive. Chances are you are having issues due to device control, and you need to create a rule to allow USB storage. (This is only a speculation and i would not know without viewing the settings of ESET). Version 4 is WAY way way behind in protection and product improvements and i would implore anyone still on it to , GET OFF and upgrade to the latest version 7, which would probably fix the issue in question anyway.

Its a BHO. ESET is quarantining the threat created, but the harmless object is still sitting in a Scheduler or Extension somewhere. I recommend downloading AdwCleaner, run it and let the clean process complete and reboot your computer. When you log back in, before opening any browsers, perform a reset. With IE, you can find the reset in Control Panel > Internet Properties > Advanced > Reset Firefox is a little different, you have to open about:support, here is a link. <-- You may not even need AdwCleaner but you can just try a RESET first to see if the problem goes away when visiting any site. Alternatively you can Open Task Scheduler from Administrative Tools, and look to see if you have any objects that are scheduled to open on login, or upon opening a browser, or intervals etc. CCleaner lets you view this stuff easily in the Startup Tab sections. Let us know if this helps you solve your troubles.

Hello, ESET is a great product. From a re-seller's point of view, "It is so easy to sell !" I could sell the renewals at the FULL cost and my customers would still buy, but i won't ! Everyday, everyday, everyday, i am staring at laptops with trojans, and worse, that have other vendor's AV installed. ( I would list them. but i don't want to start a flame war ) I clean them, install ESET, and i never see them again. I have been having repeat business for virus cleanups for years, this is the first year i am not seeing my regular viral customers returning which would normally happen on a bi-monthly basis haha. I can't stress enough how real live scenarios of ESET vs the competition is so shocking its silly to think about. I am guilty myself of purchasing from Newegg.com because i wanted to buy ESS for the $5.99, however i have also purchased EAV and ESS for the full price for my families computers and my laptops, office computers etc.

Hello, I would recommend just disabling presentation mode. The Auto-presentation mode is simply targeted at full screen apps that use major resources, and its set to turn off certain settings when in full-screen mode. Including a popup. If you are only using powerpoint in full screen mode. Don't use the auto presentation mode. If it has to be enabled on every start-up, then you are going to have to make the changes by policy on your server or from ERA, as the client will revert to the original settings every time it checks into ERA, even on a reboot.
