  1. Hello, Protect Server V8 is able to manage agents on version 8.1. However, when you have executed "upgrade" via the help menu popup, it should have updated also the server, so I would check the task execution, for possible errors.
  2. Hello, what you mean by IBM SOAR? As of now, we do export data to IBM SIEM - QRadar, however there is no purpose build connector to IBM SOAR product.
  3. Hello, server is restarted during the upgrade process, however as soon as the upgrade is finished, all machines should start connecting again.
  4. Hello @Amafito It seems to me, that the MSP has incorrectly setup the certificate, which is untrusted by the device. I have forwarded it to the respective colleagues, which might suggest what needs to be done on the MSP side, so you will not get any errors. Regards, Michal
  5. What do you mean that EDTD needs to be enabled manually? EDTD enablement consists of two things: Policy setup - you can create a policy for EDTD and assign it to a group all. It will enable it on all devices. Activation task - you can target it as well to all of the computers. Also, you can do it this way: Select your computers In the footer click "actions" and choose "activate EDTD" NOTE: If you mean, that the "computer details" screen does show you option to "enable EDTD" even when EDTD is enabled - this is a bit of a design glitch, that will be addressed in the future versions.
  6. Just a note, @Cruz I have contacted our documentation / MKT teams, to include the information about the fact that EFDE is not just a management of Bitlocker, but it uses our own encryption engine into our documentation. Therefore, you can install it on any compatible operating system, regardless whether it includes Bitlocker or not.
  7. Hello @endpointandcats You do not have to select the configuration during the installer creation. You can simply assign all of the relevant "policy templates" (or custom made policies) to group all (or any group or even an individual computer), which means that the resulting configuration would be created as a merge of those policies. Alternatively, you can create your own custom template, where you configure the product as you want, and then you choose this template during the installer creation process. Please note, that there is a difference between a configuration and policy. Configuration sets the values to the desired state, but does not lock them on the client (if the local user has admin rights, he can change the settings). Policy on the other hand, if setting has "apply/force" flags set, would lock the setting, and prevent it from being edited. Hope that this helps. Michal
  8. You can run a report "scans executed in last 30 days", where you will see the high level data + in case something was detected, you can filter out detections from a particular scan.
  9. Hello, @Alexander Lai Basically what EBA tells you, is that you can´t setup the "ESET PROTECT CLOUD" (cloud based management console) with your existing license. If you want to use it, you will have to purchase some eligible license. If you have no intention to manage your devices, then you can simply ignore that message. If you want to upgrade, you can ask for upgrade of the existing license.
  10. Hello @brylerayandayan If I may ask, why you wanted to add license to an ELA security admin? Was it included in license e-mail instructions, or it´s just your common practice? I see on the screenshot, that the ELA is actually empty, and was not used before. Am I right?
  11. Hello, you can do it the same way, as in case of ESET PROTECT. Just create a new policy for "management agent" and disable collection of OS generated information about particular functionalities.
  12. Hello @Heslacher In this case, ESET Licensing policy works in a way, that licenses are issued "per device". Meaning, if you have 13 workstations, 3 servers and 13 mobile devices, you need a license for total 29 seats. ESET PROTECT complete bought with quantity 29 will allow you to: activate 29 desktops / mobiles / servers (mix and match) activate 29x Full Disk Encryption Clients activate 29x ESET Dynamic Threat Defense Cloud Sandbox Protect 29* 1,2 users of Office 365 / equal amount of mailboxes on on premises hosted Exchange / Domino server. If you have just 13 employees, you can theoretically do it in a way, that you buy a license with QTY 13 of ESET PROTECT COMPLETE + another license of QTY 13 (or 16 to cover also the servers) for ESET PROTECT ENTRY, that might allow you to activate / cloud manage the mobile devices. So, per: https://www.eset.com/de/business/small-and-medium/ 29 QTY license for ESET PROTECT Complete = approx 1400 € / year Or: 13 QTY license for ESET PROTECT Complete = approx 713 € / year 16 QTY license for ESET PROTECT Entry = approx 548 € / year Hope that this helps. Michal
  13. Hello @Gintaras P Per my knowledge, web filtering for our ESET Endpoint Security for Android is currently considered feature, for addition later this year. I will check it with our product management, and come back to you once confirmed.
  14. The best would be to check whether the policy is applied on the clients. I assume, they still connect OK to the previously existent on premises server. So in the existing ESET PROTECT on premises server, choose a random computer that should have the policy applied, go to "computer details" => Open section "Configuration" and check the list of "Applied policies", whether the migration policy is seen there as applied. Secondly, check if there is no "competing" policy for Agent, that might conflict the migration settings. Last but not least, you can check the resulting configuration by clicking to "configuration" tab, request config, and you will see how the current configuration looks.
  15. Hello @anyelussk8, the proposal by Marcos is the correct one. The one you have used only relates to the restart needed to finish cleaning up malware. You might consider adding one more condition, for "A computer restart is required for applying device control settings" (if you use device control). If not, the two conditions by Marcos should suffice.
  16. @Bas van der Zanden I have forwarded your request to our product management. Once I get a response from them, I will try to share it with you. Bot requests seems to me as valid, so we will for sure consider them.
  17. Hello @pstoric You are not looking for the right product. This is under the "ESET Management Agent", who does take the status from the operating system. So you need to choose a different product in the drop down first.
  18. Hello, no the data in the dashboard is hardcoded. What would be your particular use case, and to what levels you would like to change it, if possible?
  19. Hello, important here is to understand your way of work, and how are the duplicates appearing in the first place. You are right, there is no "manual merging" functionality, however the support for cloning / imaging, should prevent duplicates from happening, if used properly. Can you share a bit more insights, about how you end up in this situation with duplicates? Maybe, we might be able to suggest something, or it will be a useful help for our product management, to prioritize this request (as we do not get it that often).
  20. If you have forgotten the password, and the server is no longer operational, the only option is to boot into the safe mode, and then use the ESET Uninstaller Tool, to remove the agent. Out of the curiosity, why you will be using a setup without the remote management? How big is your network?
  21. Hello, thank you. And yes, we do have plans to add Linux coverage, in the reasonable future.
  22. @choycn Hello, have you attempted to contact PortIT? I assume, that you are using their service, which is build over ESET micro updates. https://www.port-it.nl/cybersecurity-solutions/antivirus/ It might be best, if you try to contact them first, as ESET Support does not have knowledge of their network setup, and their portal. Are all of the other computers on the network already running on version 8?
  23. As of now, this is not possible. Those "color coded statuses" are hardcoded in the webconsole. I will consult with our product management, if this is something that can be adjusted in the future product releases.
  24. Per the provided screenshot, it seems that the installed version is still ERA, most likely 6.5, which might explain why the installer is not possible to be downloaded, as ERA 6.5 has reached EOL state. Upgrade to ESET PROTECT V8 is required (or at least the latest build of ESMC V7), in order to be able to generate installer.
  25. Hello, ESET PROTECT should not have any issues with managing 8000 connected computers. For more details about infrastructure sizing please check the following part of the documentation: https://help.eset.com/protect_install/80/en-US/?hw_requirements.html
