  1. Hello @avielc thank you for your feedback. Currently our reporting system has some limitations, that prevent those things from being combined. Request to combine various attributes from the HW inventory report is already tracked. Which applications you would like to see there? As that might create a a challenge, as you would end up with a report with multiple duplicated lines. If you need just version of ESET software, it might be a bit simpler. internal reference: IDEA-1228
  2. Hi @Ryan_GCITS You should have no worries, activations will work, even in case of a slight overusage. What I would recommend to do, is to go to EBA portal, and sort your devices based on "last seen" column. If there will be some, that have not connected for a longer period of time, you might easily remove them. As you are using ESET PROTECT, and have one license, you can easily set a dynamic group for "not activated security product", and set an activation task, that will have both "joined dynamic group trigger" and "run every hour trigger" set, meaning even if you accidentally deactivate a client that is still "on", it will "auto repair" itself, as EP will activate him.
  3. Unfortunately no as that would represent a significant security risk.
  4. Can you please share the details about how you have migrated from the on premise to cloud? Root cause might be within the migration procedure. Also, did it stop working at the moment of migration, or it was working OK, and afterwards something got broken? My idea would be, that you somehow applied the cert from the on premise server, to your EPC connected agents, so the EPC server will not let them in. But that is just my assumption.
  5. The best would be if you contact our local distributor via a customer care ticket. We might needed detailed screenshots of how your permission sets are setup, and which functionality modules / groups they have access to.
  6. Hello, your backup codes should have been e-mailed to you once you have activated 2FA for EBA. You will have to contact ESET Support, verify the account ownership, and from there we might be able to help you (like disable the FA via impersonation).
  7. If you request configuration from any of the affected machines, all those switches set to be disabled? Maybe, it might take a computer reboot, for status to clear out.
  8. Windows updates are actually reported both by the security product, but also via ESET Management Agent. I would check, whether your agent policy does not have this enabled. You can do it by adjusting the parameter for management agent, to disable it.
  9. What do you mean by "provide me the bundle". If you want to request a trial license, or purchase the product, you should enquire for testing of either ESET PROTECT Enterprise, or the former ESET Targeted Attack Protection. They both include ESET Enterprise Inspector. Trial license can only be given to you by our authorized distributor, whose contact has been provided to you in the previous post.
  10. Hello, for license access requests, you will have to contact ESET Distributor for the respective country. Distributor for Cambodia is: https://www.eset.com/kh/about/contact/
  11. Hello @Justus Folding Basically, as martinK stated what you missed is the step of "agent removal". The steps you did, deleted the database entry, and triggered deactivation of the endpoints. However, the computer still has the agent, and agent will connect back to the computer, most likely to the lost and found group. Also, it will report functionality problem of "not activated", meaning that both agent / Endpoint remained on the machine however without a license. The best thing would be to do the following steps: Uninstall Endpoint via "software uninstall" task / or from client details Trigger the "stop managing task" After a while, when the machine stops connecting, remove the entry Regards, Michal
  12. Hello, per our documentation, you can install ESET Protect Server on Windows 10, and it should handle connection from 160 machines. However, it is not in accordance with MS licensing policies: https://help.eset.com/protect_install/80/en-US/?windows.html
  13. Hello, ESET License is bond to the activated endpoints, not to the server. So what you can do is the following: Install the new ESET PROTECT server (please note, that installing it on a Desktop Windows machine might be against Microsoft licensing policies) Add your license there Uninstall the endpoint / agent from the PC (if you do a standard "uninstall", it should also "free the license" seat for that particular computer Install the new agent / endpoint (regardless of the method used for installation, you can either activate it during of after installation, or add the license in the installation package, if you will use All In One installer generated from your new ESET PROTECT In case your license count will not match with the amount of PCs installed / managed in your ESET Protect server, you can login to ESET Business Account (or License Administrator, if you use that one), and manually remove devices which have not been correctly deactivated (have not connected for a longer time period for example). Hope that this helps, Michal
  14. Hello @LesRMed - if you are transitioning from the "on premise" to "cloud" version of ESET Protect, you actually do not have to do the actual deployment. You can follow instructions as listed here, to instruct your currently deployed agents, to connect to ESET Protect Cloud: https://help.eset.com/protect_cloud/en-US/?cloud_migration.html
  15. Hello @LesRMed, as of January 14, we have added technical compatibility with ESET PROTECT Cloud in EMA 2, meaning if you are an ESET MSP, you can (per this info, it is available in the US as well: https://www.eset.com/us/about/newsroom/corporate-blog/new-cloud-managed-security-for-a-new-business-world/). Please note, that there might be a slight difference in pricing, between the standard MSP licenses, and PROTECT Cloud eligible licenses, but I believe our NORAM sales team will be more than happy to assist you. Regards, Michal
  16. @LesRMed It depends on what you mean by "update". Basically the updating works in a way that: Modules required for the security software to work properly (configuration modules, machine learning modules, translator, virus definitions) are updated from ESET servers over the internet Version upgrades, are as well downloaded directly from the internet. From ESET PROTECT Cloud you can control / trigger upgrade of the product even if this is outside of your internal network. Once agent gets the command, it will trigger download / installation of the software package from ESET servers over the internet If you use ESET Protect Cloud, and the computer is working, and there is no explicit firewall rule that will prevent our agent from connecting to the Protect Cloud backbone infrastructure (commonly accessible via the internet), you will see an up-to-date status of every computer. Also, regardless where you are, you can access the ESET PROTECT Cloud web interface, even from a tablet / mobile device, over 4G/5G connection. It´s a really convenient method of remote management / supervision.
  17. From my POW, that should work, so I will report is as a bug / improvement request, so even if the installed application is on the same version, but you are actually moving to a different tier product, it would proceed automatically.
  18. Hello, can you please share more details with regards to the reasoning of this approach? Also, is the currently installed version of the ESET Endpoint Antivirus, that you want to upgrade, on the same version as the Endpoint Security? (that might be the only reason I might see, that would possibly prevent it from updating, as it will check whether the installed version is not the same, and stop the install). Software install task as suggested my Marcos would do the trick. But we will have to investigate internally, if my assumption is correct.
  19. Hello @avd, ESET PROTECT Cloud is currently hosted in Microsoft Azure. Depending on the datacenter selection, it´s either located within US or EU datacenter locations. We do not disclose exact datacenters in use.
  20. Hello @Danie. Once your server is upgraded to V8, you can navigate to "tasks", and select a task called "ESET PROTECT Components Upgrade". Over there you choose a reference server version (V8 will be offered) and you target this task to either a specific computers you want to upgrade, or to a specific group. It will instruct all connected clients to download and apply the update of the newest agent. If you want to upgrade the security products (Endpoints), for this you have to use the "Software install task", just choose the desired version you want to install. Please note, that reboot is required in order to reset the drivers loaded in the operating system to ensure maximum protection, so it´s recommended to schedule it during a maintenance window. Agents do not require reboot, and can be updated virtually anytime.
  21. Hello, for the sake of installing the latest agent, you first need to update your server to the latest version, as the agent installers are linked to the server version. If the server is already updated to ESET PROTECT V8, all agents that you will create / deploy, will be on V8 as well. Updating of previous agents can be done using "components upgrade task", which you can find among the client task in section "ESET PROTECT", once your server is updated. With regards to the client, even if your agent / server is on older version, you can choose a particular installer version both in installer, and in software install task. As those are all "version specific", you currently can´t create an installation package that will be always using the latest available version. However, as of Endpoint V8, we have introduced uPCU auto update functionality, when you will be able to configure your endpoints to automatically download, and prepare the latest installation version, and apply it upon next computer restart. However, your endpoints will have to be upgraded to V8, in order to enable this functionality. Once we will release next server release of Endpoint V8, we will also roll it out using this method.
  22. Hello, in general yes. As the cloud server is hosted in the public cloud infrastructure, the only thing needed for it to work is internet connectivity.
  23. Hello, I have checked it with our sales team. At ESET we value the privacy of our customers, and do not publish their names / case studies without a prior consent. As EDR software is quite sensitive, our customers did not approve sharing their names publicly, as that would increase their exposure. From the internal materials that I have briefly reviewed, we have customers from Finance, Retail, Healthcare/Pharma, Education, and Services industry. More details about our EDR and industry recognition can be found here: https://www.eset.com/int/business/why-eset/industry-analysts-recognition/ EEI has been recently tested by AV Comparatives: https://www.eset.com/int/about/newsroom/press-releases/awards/eset-named-a-strategic-leader-in-rigorous-new-av-comparatives-endpoint-prevention-and-response-tes/ ESET is currently taking place in the latest round of the MITRE testing, which should be published soon. Also, there are peer reviews of our EDR solution publicly available on various peer insights. Hope that this helps.
  24. Hello @Tita314, do you mean public case studies, referencing real life users of our EDR solution, or rather a set of common use cases, that our EDR might help addressing / solving?
  25. Hello, no currently such notification is not possible. However, notifications for license closing to expiration are planned in the backlog for future versions. If you use "ESET PROTECT" console, and your licenses are synced to EP, you can set a generic "license about to expire" notification. However, it will not send you the particular license, but you can identify such license by properly sorting / filtering the license view in the management console.
