I advise you to buy Eset Smart Security Premium, because it has the following tools below that Internet Security does not have.
    - Protection against new threats
    - password manager
    - Encryption of confidential data

While all ESET products protects you from new threats, no AV can detect 100% of malware with zero false positives. ESET Smart Security Premium includes ESET LiveGuard which is a technology that temporarily blocks downloaded untrusted files, uploads them to a cloud sandbox where the sample detonates and its behavior is analyzed. Within seconds or minutes at maximum a result is received and the file is either allowed to run or is detected and blocked. Neither ESET NOD32 Antivirus nor ESET Internet Security contain the ESET LiveGuard technology. They support ESET LiveGrid for cloud checks, however, downloaded files are not blocked while being analyzed on ESET servers.

It is not advisable to use two real-time security products, in that case it is better to use MalwareBytes disabled the real-time option, because it can conflict with any antivirus, slowing down your machine.

By removing the zeros, you've turned turned all those executables into binary junk that doesn't even run. That some AVs detect these things, shows that those AVs are not very good (to put it nicely).

    Machine translation:
I would like to suggest a feature that would make it easier to manage in ESET HOME. I mean the ability to order a scan via ESET HOME or view the post-scan logs when a threat is detected. This would make it easier to manage the home computers in the family, e.g. if we have several computers and laptops, it would be easier to issue a few commands in ESET HOME to run a scan on the computers of children or other family members. I miss the possibility of deeper installation management through the ESET HOME platform, maybe something like this could be introduced in a package for families?

New_Style_xd gave kudos to Marcos in Eset Smart Security Premium vs Endpoint Security
1, As I wrote, it's comparing apples with oranges. Both solutions are complete for the targeted group of users. Even business product bundles differ:

2, Both protect the same way, especially if you have Endpoint coupled with ESET LiveGuard Advanced.
3, They are apples and oranges, although based on the same core, hence different versioning.
4, Already mentioned that consumer products typically receive sensitive module updates gradually in the first wave before business products.
5, For home users we recommend ESET Smart Security Premium or Internet Security, for SOHO and business environments with 5 and more machines business (Endpoint) solutions couple with ESET LiveGuard Advanced.
6, It depends on what environment you're in. If you use up to 5 devices and don't need remote administration, update from a mirror, etc. ESET Smart Security Premium would provide maximum protection.

    Hello,
we detect malware regardless of the origin, but we have researchers in LATAM region as well, you can find interresting info about some of our researchers at https://www.welivesecurity.com/our-experts/

New_Style_xd gave kudos to itman in Questions about ESET and ransomware
If you were infected by ransomware, all your files in folders such as My Documents would have a suffix attached to them. Also you should have a ransomware note showing on the desktop at system startup time.
As far as a rollback option, Eset does not employ a system snapshot option such as Kaspersky employs. Therefore, system rollback to  prior period in not possible.

The frame just tells you that your using protect all browsers. I think you'll get a red or orange border even if disabled if any settings get turned off that are required

Good afternoon everyone, I always put it to update the eset manually. When I went to update today, I observed the image below as the appearance is outside the Black standard. I think you have to fix this problem. is a way that I can report this problem in the appearance of the antivirus.

The way I see it, and put to let updating manually, as I do here on mine. remembering that if you choose to leave it manually you have to always update during the day of use. 😁

Marcos, thank you for the quick answer.
I am glad to hear that the files for LiveGuard are encrypted. What about LiveGrid data? Is it encrypted/signed/verified in some other way?

New_Style_xd gave kudos to Aryeh Goretsky in How Do I Block Pop-Up Ads
    Hello,

As @cyberhash and @itman noted, there are already a variety of ad blocking extensions out there for web browser which are (1) quite good; and (2) free.  From my point of view, it would not make sense for ESET to compete against those unless there was something markedly different and better than what is already available at no charge.

I saw that you mentioned you were receiving pop-up advertisements.  Are those actually advertisements popping up in a separate window, or are you receiving unwanted popup toast notifications from the system tray notification area?  If the latter, here are some instructions I wrote elsewhere on how to disable those:

Unwanted notifications (popups) from web browser
Notifications that pop up on your screen can be distracting and annoying. Here's how to disable them in the various web browsers:

    Google Chrome (Version 105+)
Enter chrome://settings/content/notifications into the address bar to open the Notifications settings page in Google Chrome.  In the Default behavior section, select (check) the Don't allow sites to send notifications option.  In the Customized behaviors section, go to the Allowed to send notifications section, click on the ⋮ (more actions) object, and select Remove from the context menu.  Repeat until there are no further entries listed in this section.

    Mozilla Firefox (Version 104+)
Enter about:preferences#privacy into the address bar, then scroll down to the Permissions section.  Go to the Notifications option and click on the Settings… button.  In the Settings - Notifications Permissions window, click on the Remove All Websites button, then check (select) the "Block new requests asking to allow notifications" option and click on the Save Changes button.

    Microsoft Edge (Chrome-based, Version 105+)
Go to edge://settings/content/notifications in the address bar and disable Ask before sending (recommended). If there are any entries in the Allow section, click on the ⋯ (more actions) object and select Remove for each entry.  Repeat until there are no further entries listed in this section.

Instructions for Microsoft Edge (legacy version): Open Windows Settings app (not Edge's) and go to System → Notifications & Actions, scroll down to Notifications, and set "Get notifications from apps and other senders" to Off.

    Microsoft Internet Explorer
    (does not support notifications)

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

Guys, the following situation happened to me:
A file was detected by LiveGuard as shown in the image below:

So far there has been no verdict. How do I know if it's safe or not?
I don't know if it's infected or not?

New_Style_xd gave kudos to itman in LiveGuard Question
I already commented on this here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/33302-liveguard-can-automatically-block-a-suspicious-file-but-cannot-upload-it-to-the-cloud/?do=findComment&comment=155033 .
Also for many LiveGuard submissions, you won't even know it was submitted unless you were constantly monitoring Eset Event log entries for it. As such, I guess the fact that a safe verdict desktop alert is not displayed is logical. The only time you will see an Eset popup notification is if the file is also submitted to Eset VirusLab for additional review and that setting is enabled in Eset Event settings.

New_Style_xd gave kudos to itman in LiveGuard Question
This keeps coming up in the forum; over and over again.
If the file is deemed safe by LiveGuard, you will not get an Eset safe popup notification and the file will be silently unblocked.
The only time you will receive an Eset safe popup notification is if you attempted to access the file while it was in a LiveGuard blocked state.

Can Windows versions of ESET products detect Android-targeted threats? So to scan APK file via Windows version of ESET products(ESET Nod32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security, ESET Smart Security Premium) is the same like to scan it via ESET Mobile Security for Android or ESET Smart TV Security? In this case effectiveness of scanning is the same?
