Greetings,

I know that the updates for ESET Smart Security are transfered via HTTP, however they are signed and man-in-the-middle are therefore prevented.

However I could not find info encryption/verification on LiveGrid. The guide for allowing ports on firewall suggests that LiveGrid works over HTTP. How are the responses from the server verified?

I also could not find any data about encryption/verification for LiveGuard. I trust your servers with suspicious files from my computer, however I do not trust the network. Are files that are sent to LiveGuard encrypted in transit? If so, what kind of encryption is used?

Thank you in advance.

Marcos, thank you for the quick answer.

I am glad to hear that the files for LiveGuard are encrypted. What about LiveGrid data? Is it encrypted/signed/verified in some other way?
