  1. Which directories are you using for folder redirection, and how do you decide which are folder redirect and which are a complete roaming profile ? Do you just have a mix of the two ? Could this be an ACL problem with local profile or the ones on server ? I noticed you made a similar post here: hxxp://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/problems-upgrading-to-nod32-av-4-2-40.271876/ Have you had this issue the whole time without resolution, or are you running into it again ?
  2. See the following KB article down to step 5. hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN82 I did not notice you were on 03, even on all my sbs2011 including 2008, i could not get the deploy to function without following the directions in step 5. So where are we at ? Still no success on the deploy ?
  3. Congratulations Caldera Great feedback. Great work. We hope to be seeing more of you.
  4. I actually requested some coordination with mozilla etc in my write up of EMS.
  5. Everything should be close to back online. Some of my orders just went through. Sorry for the troubles that anyone experienced. Keep in mind the forums were never down during this period and we are always here to guide and assist. Have a great weekend !
  6. Client contacted through PM's for resolution. Customer is located in Texas & in my area.
  7. ESET North America has been experiencing some internal network outtages today. I don't presume it will be down long at all. Please be patient and stand by. What country/State and area are you located in ?
  8. Hello again, I would recommend standing by and wait for staff or moderator to respond, that way we have some assurance for you. Thanks
  9. Sure. You don't have to take my suggestions. However that is most likely the resolution and i am trying to help. I can still see your domain! I hope your security is tight. ERA will use the credentials of the service when deploying and accessing every part of the workstation for installation including $admin share which is where the package will sit. This is false. I have set up about 15 different domain networks with ESET, and have configured and deployed updates on every one of them. See my attached picture. The local administrator account of my server is also a member of the domain admin workgroup. I didnt say the upgrade windows client doesn't work, however its much simpler to use the new install method.
  10. Yes, decoder just needs to follow Aryeh's instructions for both applications now and he should have his resolution too. You are most welcome SCR
  11. According to this : Your issue is quite apparent. Open services on your server, and go to ESET Remote Administrator Service, and change the Logon type to credentials that are under the "Domain Admin" workgroup. This may solve your issue with deployment privilege issues. If you still have the issue, RDP to that workstation and make sure the domain admins workgroup is a member of the local administrators group on the workstation. :)
  12. Whoever stated that on Wilders may have it backwards. Was it ESET staff ? Using the normal Push is the best way to upgrade clients. Let me see .... Also please hide your domain ... XXXX\Admin in your posts. I can see it. Not good for public forum, you never know who could be browsing around here.
  13. Hello Trooper, Do you have any exclusions setup for real-time ?
  14. you cant create it without users consent. super anti spyware coalition has your best practices if you need to research.
  15. Hello, instead of using upgrade to deploy the new msi to workstations. Use the Push like your doing a new deploy instead. I will submit a screenshot for you.
  16. Hello, see the following KB article for help: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2118 My suggestion would be to try Interactive Mode, and when you receive the prompts for block, choose Allow and create a rule. Then switch back to Automatic with user defined exceptions. Good luck.
  17. That is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe if you understood a little about what occurred, and took the time to research what causes these types of breaks in security and that the vulnerability was at the hosting providers end, and had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with ESET, besides harm their reputation. In addition could not have been prevented by ESET, because this forum is run by IPBoard. Slander posts like this need to be taken to their forums, not ESET's Have a wonderful elegant evening.
  18. Hello, The following KB article may shed some light. I cannot access the settings—I'm being asked for a password. What should I do?
  19. Actually they have been bundling Ask for 10 years + lol Sometimes they bundle McAfee too.
  20. Good blog. Very good blog. Anti-spyware coalition best practices kinda sits on malwarebytes guidelines though. lol
