  2. Not happy with ERA 6

Thank you @BCVITAdmin for the exceptionally thoughtful and polite feedback. The way in which you stated what the specific issues were, how they manifest, resolution attempts you made, why they're important, and technical suggestions for improvement, gives us something useful that we can bring back to product managers. I know our technical support guys are ready to help resolve your current issues if they can. They may ask for more technical information (such as logs) to help get a better picture of your environment and how best to resolve your issue, as well as giving our developers the technical info they need to pinpoint the problems so they can improve the products. I also know our teams responsible for documentation have seen your post and are already working with their counterparts worldwide, to begin crafting and improving documentation within and about the products, features, etc. Thanks again for your calm and thorough response. We always welcome any feedback but feedback like yours, that includes useful information that we can bring back to those who can make the changes actually happen, is applauded. Personally, I absolutely applaud the first and last statements in your final section. ERA v6 was specifically created on (and continues to be improved by) customer feedback. It's come a long way from 6.0 to 6.3 but we're certainly not done. Also, I heard about ESET through family. A former colleague convinced me to apply. In my view, ESET has grown and continues to thrive thanks to word-of-mouth recommendations by happy customers that people trust and respect. We'd like to see that continue and we'll never forget from whence we came.
  3. ESET Facebook online scanner

Hello! We’re sorry you’re experiencing issues related to Facebook Malware Checkpoint. A Facebook algorithm has identified your computer as possibly being infected by malicious software. To use your Facebook account, you will need to login and use our free ESET Online Scanner to check your system for possible threats. Just run ESET Online Scanner after it downloads; once the scan has begun, you don’t need to wait until it finishes. You can find an easy step-by-step guide here: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3626/ If that link does not work for you, here is a link to our post on this: hxxp://www.eset.com/int/about/press/eset-blog/article/why-does-facebook-require-that-i-scan-my-computer-with-eset/
  4. Eset partner in Iran

Due to sanctions beyond our control, we cannot sell or support our product in Iran at this time. We hope this will change in the future but for now it is not possible.
  5. Future changes to ESET Endpoint programs

We allow (and encourage) users to help other users. In this particular case, if a user makes a feature request and a user either sees a way the issue causing this feature request can be resolved, we absolutely encourage that user to share their knowledge. There may be other cases where one request sparks an idea for another. That's also acceptable. We're always looking for ways to improve the product and user experience. Anything that brings about positive change is welcomed and should continue to be encouraged.

  8. Introduce yourself

Hi@clydeman there are many possible ways to customize or set up ESET NOD32 Antivirus. Do you remember anything specific you were trying to set it up for?
  9. Forum Feedback

Thank you, @Near_Far. I took care of those threads and I'm scanning the forums for more. Unless the link to an executable file comes from ESET Staff, it shouldn't be posted publicly on the forums. There are times when ESET Staff will request a file but that should always be posted via direct PM.
  10. Welcome to the ESET Security Forum

Thanks for all your work on the video. It might be cool to see more videos that explain some of the more in-depth features of the forum.
  11. Forum Feedback

Quick Google search for IP Board FAQ brought it right up: hxxp://www.invisionpower.com/support/faqs They also host their own Support Forums specifically for IPB related issues.
  12. Forum Feedback

I think this might be something good to add in a week or two when people have had the beta for a while. This allows people to get past their initial reactions and base their answers about each feature on having used those features for a few weeks. Our new SysTray icon is a great example of initial shock followed by change of opinion or at least a dimming of those initial feelings.

  14. Introduce yourself

Welcome to the ESET Security Forum! We are a widely diverse community of people and we’ve created this thread to allow you to introduce yourself to us and learn a little about who we are. Please feel free to write a short post about you and also answer the questions below. When you’re done reading through this thread, check out our dedicated FAQ section and Help Files. How did you find the ESET Security Forum? What OS are you running? What AV are you running? What’s an interesting fact about you? I'll start out. Hey everyone! I'm DWomack and I've been with ESET since 2009. I started out working in Customer Care-Home Support and last July became the first (and so far only) Online Community Specialist at ESET North America. I was part of the awesome team that helped create the forums and I'm excited about helping all our users and prospective users here and one all our social networks. At home I have two main laptop I use running Win7 on one and Win8 on the other. I have ESS v6 running on the Win8 and I'm testing EAV v7 Beta on Win7. Interesting fact, I am an out-of-practice musician (multiple instruments but mostly trumpet and guitar) and singer. I'm out of practice only in that I haven't picked up the trumpet in about 8 years and I don't pick up the guitar as much as I'd like to. Music is my soul and I'm hoping to get back into school studying music and performing again at some point.
