Okay figured it out. for 64bit you have to include C:\program files & C:\program files(x86) Stupid. If one is blocked it uses the other. Block both

After you install ESET, make sure you add your local subnet to the trusted zone, and ensure your router ip is among the trusted as well. If you still have troubles, you might have other drivers conflicting on your computer and i would either use Sysinspector to find them, built into Smart security for free, or contact customer care with a support ticket or by phone.

Sorry rugk. They are nice covers. My thoughts are that it would cost a lot of money for printing, plastics, discs. ESET has it for free download already. They would have to pay to produce it, and then a charge or price would be put on the software to cover production.

Hello Doctor9fan, i now have a kindle in hand. Just installed ESET. Checking updates, signature db version, as well as license activation. I can confirm that Planet is correct in the earlier post he made. 2.0 on amazon... I was able to successfully download ems 3.0 from ESET's website and install on the kindle. I also had no troubles activating a premium license trial of 30 days. The problem i see here is, amazon has an outdated version. Also ordering from ESET directly will not let you activate on amazon's 2.0, you would have to purchase directly from amazon, as you found out yourself. However if you order from ESET directly, its easy to download 3.0 from website and activate with u/p. In conclusion and for future customers, i would suggest not ordering from amazon's app store as it could be a bumpy ride. The only thing i cant check is ordering from Amazon myself to see if there was license/email discrepancies, i would have to pay for the license, with ESET directly i can create a license on a whim, so i was able to troubleshoot with you. I will now delete the licenses from the system, but its unfortunate amazon is a little behind. As i think planet stated, Google used to be the same way but i think they fixed that flaw for Play store. (activation)

Hello Faust Clever piece of software malware you have right there. The problem with it is this... When you launch your program, it secretly creates a scheduled task. This is bad practice, and doing it without the users consent is mischievous in nature and as a result will not be removed from ESET's database under the threat Win32/Adware.AntiMalwarePro.AD The only way out here is for you to fix your own program. ESET will not be able to do this for you. You need to remove bridge.dll. Then remove the scheduled task(s) that are created upon launching your application, whether your dll creates it or not. Once this is done, you can re-submit under the directions so well known to you. You may even receive a response after that is done. I don't have the credentials to be called a malware researcher, but you have to realize that ESET's malware research team is far superior than what i am capable of when it comes to forensically analyzing software. They know whats going on here. Good luck on cleaning up your software.

If you drag an email to your desktop from Outlook, it is stored on disc as .msg. Completely separate from the personal storage table file. Likewise if you copy 100 emails and archive them or forward them somewhere, or even 1 single email file being forwarded as you add item as an attachment. However Microsoft uses the pst to store your emails inside outlook in a nice format for reading / filtering. Does ESET scan a pst in the same method as an archive ? Recursively until all emails inside are scanned ? As well as remove 1 bad email from a pst ? If this isnt done by on-demand scanner, i would be interested to learn why the e-mail files option is listed in the Threatsense parameters for Smart scan. Or does ESET scan only the pst, or does ESET products not scan pst's at all and wait for the incoming port detection, or mail to be deteced by the Outlook plugin ? Thanks

Hello, Were you using or have you used sudo apt-get purge "app" yet for both ESET and Comodo ? Or did you go to Applications > System tools > Nod32 uninstaller ?

Hello, Sure there is. Download ESET Uninstaller. Reboot into safe mode. (Let us know if you need help performing this on windows 8.1) Run the uninstaller, this will not only detect ESET drivers, but other manufacturer drivers as well. Most laptops come with pre-installed security drivers that will cause huge problems when getting setup with ESET due to how tightly it integrates with the OS. There is no known issue with windows 8.1 and ESET causing computer slowness. So we need to carefully inspect your laptop and what is installed. While you are in safemode, it wouldnt be a bad idea to also remove ESET with the uninstaller while you are in there. Here is a KB article on the subject: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2289 Reboot to normal and reinstall ESET again, ensuring there are no other conflicting softwares. Make sure Windows defender or the integrated mse of windows is turned off completely in Control panel as well. Post back your results. If you still have issues after following these instructions. Hello, I have seen multiple discussions about this topic floating around the web. As Linux becomes more and more popular, the demand for malware will continue to rise, especially for financially driven malware. Linux is more susceptible to browser and java based malware, as well as the big problem being rootkits and malware that use escalation of privilege in order to obtain root and run under the limited user accounts. I am hoping to receive some responses from multiple people, however my biggest expectation here is to receive some responses from moderators and staff of ESET. Would also be interested in receiving responses from researchers as well. Except you can't get Google play on the amazon kindle. Or at least not the app. This is what i have seen in the past with customers that brought me their kindle for work. Restricted to Amazon app store. Unless you root and remove their os and add android.

For 1 , the database i have 2. If its one home user, their ESET would quit working and they would call me. 3 if its a business, i manage all their computers from ERA, i would know when 1 quit working. Let me put it clearly. IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY OF MY CLIENTS LICENSES TO GET STOLEN AND I NOT KNOW ABOUT IT. there...... *breath*, *pant* :)
