1. Did you experience the issue with v17.0.16 or older? If not, does disabling HTTP/3 network traffic scanning make a difference?
2. You should not have Network protection in the advanced setup. However, if the server is exposed to the Internet and is not behind a firewall with strict configuration, the server may become attacked from the Internet.
3. Do you mean the password to access the advanced setup?
4. Please generate a kernel or better a complete memory crash dump. Compress it, upload it to a safe location and drop me a personal message with a download link. Also generate logs with ESET Log Collector and provide the generated archive.
5. The licenses with public license IDs 3A6-P9B-NTP and 3AT-TUH-VMN were issued in India and Sri Lanka respectively. Since distributors and resellers in those countries sell ESET for substantially lower price to accommodate their market, they use geo restrictions. Please purchase a license in your country and use it for activation.
6. Please raise a support ticket by going through the troubleshooting wizard https://go.eset.com/contact-support/ until you reach the option to contact technical support.
7. Since this is an English forum, we kindly ask you to post in English. Please provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector. If you have come across suspicious undetected samples, check them at https://www.virtustotal.com and provide links with scan results.
8. This was already discussed here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/40098-inserting-external-sender-be-cautious-particularly-with-links-and-attachments-into-mailbody-of-every-external-inbound-email/ To avoid having multiple topics on the subject, we'll draw this topic to a close.
9. Almost 400 people in India and Pakistan have fallen victim to an ongoing Android espionage campaign called eXotic VisitView the full article
10. I don't know if there's a technical reason why the problem is not on the list or if it needs to be added in future versions of PROTECT. Currently we track it as a possible bug. P_EP-30146
11. If the folder is called "Infected items", it's likely not ESET that moves messages there as we move infected messages to the "Detected items" folder.
12. Please provide the generated link to mail-tester.com. The score is irrelevant.
13. If you go though the troubleshooting wizard https://go.eset.com/contact-support/, you'll get to an option to create a support ticket.
14. Does the protection status change to yellow if you activate Gamer mode? Do you have animations turned on in the Windows setup?
15. A configuration xml can be imported via Setup -> Import/Export settings in the main GUI.
16. Please kindly proceed as follows: 1, Enable advanced network traffic scanner logging (advanced setup -> Tools -> Diagnostics) 2, Start capturing the network communication with Wireshark 3, Reproduce the issue 4, Stop logging and save the Wireshark log. 5, Collect logs with ESET Log Collector 6, Supply us with both ELC and Wireshark logs for perusal.
17. Please keep the responses to the point and as short as possible so that we don't need. Ideally respond with not more than a few sentences. What is the scan time with archives and sfx archives turned off and Smart optimization enabled? How many objects are scanned? If the scan takes long, try scanning folder by folder to narrow it down to one that takes longest to scan and then narrow it down to concrete files. If they are not large and still take long to get scanned, please provide them for perusal. How does the scan time and the number of scanned objects change after a module update?
18. Since this is an English forum, we kindly ask you to post in English. If you want to ignore ARP cache poisoning for certain IP addresses, you can use IDS rules under Network attack protection setup:
19. For me it works as expected and I haven't seen other reporting such issue. If you toggle "Hide built-in rules" and click Apply, the built-in rules are displayed.
20. Since this is an English forum, we kindly ask you to post in English. Please carry on as follows: When the issue occurs, enable advanced operating system logging under Tools -> Diagnostics -> Advanced logging in the advanced setup After 1-2 minutes stop logging Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive to a safe location (e.g. OneDrive, Dropbox,...) and drop me a personal message with a download link.
21. Those who are having issues with HTTP/3 traffic scanning enabled and have not provided a Wireshark log aligned with an advanced network traffic scanning log, we kindly ask you to provide them to expedite analysis of the issue. In particular, we would need you to: 1, Enable advanced network traffic scanner logging (advanced setup -> Tools -> Diagnostics) 2, Start capturing the network communication with Wireshark 3, Reproduce the issue 4, Stop logging and save the Wireshark log. 5, Collect logs with ESET Log Collector 6, Supply us with both ELC and Wireshark logs for perusal.
22. Unfortunately it is not clear what you mean. The point is Endpoint 11 should update from a v11 mirror, Endpoint v10 from a v10 mirror, etc. To create mirrors for different versions of ESET products, use the ESET Mirror tools which does it.
23. We haven't been reported such issue neither from the current nor older versions. When a scan is running or an update is being performed and the icon is supposed to be spinning, please create a dump of egui_proxy via Task manager and upload it here compressed in an archive:
24. Does temporarily uninstalling ESET make a difference? Does the issue occur as soon as you install the latest v17.1.9 with default settings?
25. Copy this config into an xml file and import it: <ESET> <PRODUCT NAME="emsx" VERSION="11.0.10005" EXPORTED_BY_CE="2109.2 (20240213); 2129">

</PRODUCT> </ESET>
