The error you are running into is due to the disk not being accessible during the update as it is Encrypted and Windows has not been told to use the Encryption Drivers in order to access the disk, this utility solves that problem by passing the required switches to allow Windows to use the Encryption Drivers and thus be able to access the disk.

ESET Mail Security for Linux is based on the v4 engine which is quite old, and has been in Limited Support for quite a while (continues to receive module updates, only fixes for critical bugs and vulnerabilities, support for existing customers, etc.).  It has not been offered for download for quite some time now. 

There are no plans for a successor product at the current time, but that could change given market opportunity.  It is best that you contact your local ESET office or distributor to discuss further, as this forum is primarily for user-to-user peer support.

The new generation of ESET Endpoint products for Windows brings new features and improvements, let us briefly describe the most visible ones.
Auto-update – This feature improves the upgrade experience for administrators and makes keeping ESET products on latest version easier. It is enabled by default and works  out of the box. Technology was present in Windows Endpoint version already 8.0, EULA approval was replaced with EULA notifications. Brute-force attack protection - Evolution of reputation and blacklist-based password-guessing defense technology, providing further protection for RDP and SMB protocols in business networks. Official ARM64 support for both EES and EEA for Windows on ARM ( Secure Browser, Machine learning protection and Deep behavioral inspection features are not available for ARM64 platform in this version) The new features mentioned are not manageable by ESET PROTECT management console as of now.
 
Please check also the list of Known issues for the first public BETA build, we believe the severity of those is very low so they should not affect your user experience much

Yes, Windows 11 is reported to ESET PROTECT alright and can also be used in expressions for dynamic groups.

We are testing Windows 11 and EEE/EFDE currently.


 
So far there are no major problems at all. Upgrades from Windows 10 while encrypted work just like any other Windows 10 Feature Update. It’s seamless when performed through the Windows Update setting. In the event where you need to use the Win 11 ISO to perform the upgrade, then our updater utility works too.

Since malware often disguise as a crack, keygen, etc. you should avoid using them regardless of whether it's for antivirus or another application.

As Marcos said above, it's more of a hibernation/deep sleep with default Windows settings.
 
Control Panel>Change to Large/Small Icons>Power Options>Choose What Power Buttons Do
From here change the Power Button to Shut Down if not already, then as Marcos said Turn off Fast Startup.

That's because you probably have fast startup enabled. If so, shutdown in the Start menu is not a real shutddown but rather a kind of hibernation. That said, the OS doesn't start loading from scratch.

Please check to see if there are pending (or missing) Windows Updates.  Allow those to run, restart the computer to apply them, and then see if ESET NOD32 Antivirus completes its updates.

Pending Windows updates can block the installation of other software programs.

Anyways, I'd recommend using ESET Internet Security which can protect your machine against exploits targeting vulnerabilities in network protocols like it was in the case of the infamous ransomware WannaCry.
Moreover, the next version of ESET Smart Security Premium will bring a  new important protection feature which won't be included in EAV / EIS.

Idea: Move "More Tools" items into Tools
Reason: Moving "More Tools" items into Tools would simplify the process and make all Tools visible in a single pane. This would be a better way in accessing any of them within a single click without the need of clicking on a button called "More Tools"

Idea: Rename ESET Internet Security to ESET Smart Security

Reason: It would bring about uniformity in product range naming. For example Nod32 AV, ESET Smart Security, ESET Smart Security Premium - In my humble opinion EIS sounds out of place compared to ESS and ESSP.

Firewall rules are not automatically created in Automatic mode but only in Learning mode.
In Automatic mode, the Network Trouble-shooting Wizard will record all blocked firewall traffic and the user then must manually select what blocked activity to allow.
