Peter Randziak gave kudos to Marcos in there is release date of version 16?
We continually improve detection, protection and cleaning via module updates that are released on a regular basis. When asking specifically about v16, it has brought support for Intel Threat Detection Technology: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/vpro/hardware-shield/threat-detection-technology.html

You can disable it here:
However, the green border will still appear for a short while when opening a browser as it's an indicator that the secure browser works. What kind of indication of a secure browser would you prefer?

Peter Randziak gave kudos to emilota in EBA and FQDN
Hello @Lockbits,
In EPC, you can use the Rename Computers task to rename computers to FQDN.
In EBA, you can change the seat name but not the device name (name of the device as viewed by the installed operating system). Device name is not FQDN.
Could you please explain, why it is important for you to have FQDN in EBA as well as update of FQDN?
Greetings.

Peter Randziak gave kudos to Marcos in Unable to connect to the activation server
Please contact the ESET partner in China. It appears that Chinese ISPs have been recently blocking access to ESET servers so they should be able to provide you with up to date information.

I may confirm that the distribution of v.16 started via the Auto-updates / uPCU on Tuesday for users with pre-release updates set

Peter Randziak gave kudos to Stefan_ESET in there is release date of version 16?
This is to the fact that not all modules are released on release update servers yet (they are available only on pre-release).
When you change from pre-release to release, program does not downgrade, but modules do.
In your case it is translator module 1943 on release, 1946 pre-release (it will be aligned before the official release)

Peter Randziak gave kudos to Command IT in Outlook really slow to open with ESET Endpoint Antivirus 9.1.2051.0
So far, it's looking like 9.1.60.0 has resolved these issues. Pretty much 3 months to the day 🤔

Peter Randziak gave kudos to IggyPop in Secure Authentication Cloud
Hi @daprodukt,
Yes we have seen that for some users the live-installer is non-functional we are fixing this at the present. There is an issue with the epi version which we are using for the live-installer. For now I will advice you to use the standard installer which can be found next do the live-installer like it can be seen on the screenshot.
Once you have the installer please select the standalone installation and proceed with selection of components which you would like to instal on the endpoint machine.
Kind regards,
Ingemar

Peter Randziak gave kudos to IggyPop in ESET Bridge BETA (new solution for ESET traffic caching and forwarding)
Hi @madara,
I was consulting this morning your situation and the recommendation is following:
The custom folder needs to be created and also accessible by the eset-bridge user before applying the policy. The eset bridge user needs access rights to that foler with sudo chown -R eset-bridge:eset-bridge /DATA After applying the policy the Bridge server needs restart: sudo systemctl restart EsetBridge.service If anything please do let me know and hopefully this will revoke the issue you are currently experiencing.
Thanks.

Peter Randziak gave kudos to kurco in Update Error ESET File Security for Linux
Hi,
this looks like some issue during regular update of modules, they are triggered each hour. Would it be possible to send logs for further investigation? (Collect logs | ESET File Security for Linux | ESET Online Help). On first sight, I would tell, that product has issue to create temp file during download of latest modules. Maybe you could check, if there is enough space and also if there aren't some special write restrictions.
Regards,
Kurco

Peter Randziak gave kudos to Marcos in Ukrainian ESET support refuses to do their work
We have reviewed the communication and didn't find any issues. Most of the tickets were about the status of sample submission which was replied by the UA partner in a polite manner. Moreover, our partner could have suggest the OP to contact samples[at]eset.com which is the only channel for communicating submissions, otherwise the ESET partner must work as a mediator who contacts the research and malware lab and passes the information further to the user which is a redundant step that just hinders the response and creates unnecessary load. Also the partner was correct that he sent the OP to the US support since user's trial license was generated for a US user (by default, the country is determined and pre-selected by user's IP address which he or she can change manually).
Since everything has been said and explained and the communication has gone too personal, we'll draw this topic to a close.

Peter Randziak gave kudos to Marcos in ESET Endpoint Security does not show update to 9.1.2057.0
It won't. We'll be releasing Endpoint v9.1.2060 soon and automatic update to it is expected to take place in approximately 1 month after the release.

Peter Randziak gave kudos to peteyt in Forum Feedback
I've noticed if you try to quote someone and then change your mind about the quote and try and delete it it just adds something like block quote but actually does not delete the quote.
I have been noticing this a while on Chrome for Android. Need to test on a desktop
