    Do you mean that you cannot open the advanced setup without entering a password? If you forgot it, you have several other options how to reset it:

    If you contact your local ESET distributor / license seller, they should be able to upgrade your license to ESSP while subtracting the price for the remaining period from your current license.

    If you didn't install v15 from scratch but have also custom firewall rules created years ago by an older version, I'd recommend resetting settings to defaults or uninstall EIS and installing it from scratch.

    thank you so much for your tip - it really was caused by Module em017_64 as it works now.
    Issue resolved in both mentioned environments.

    Are these logs from a state when all communication was blocked? The thing is the firewall rules look ok and some have also "allow" action set.
    There can be issues in case there were custom rules created by EIS/ESSP v11.1 or older and you upgrade to v15. In that case there are two solutions:
    1, Reset settings to defaults
    2, Uninstall v15 and install it from scratch.
    Users who did not have any custom firewall rules are not affected. Also if custom firewall rules were created by EIS/ESSP newer than v11.1 the issue doesn't occur.
    We have paused updates to v15 until a new Configuration Engine module is released. With the new CE module upgrades from older versions that have custom fw rules created by v11.1 or older will be upgraded to v15 alright.

    The agent log states that the remote server is localhost so it attempts to connect to the ESET PROTECT server on the same machine. Try re-installing the agent and specify a correct IP address of the server.

    Could you please check ESMC/EP trace log for possible hints? Can you verify that service "eraserver" or process ERAServer are actually running? After update, there might be some time during which console is not able to connects - during this phase, database migration is performed, but it should not take very long in case you do not have huge database size/content.
    Also you have updated ESMC to EP in existing appliance, or upgrade using "appliance migration" was used? If first is the case, how old was original appliance? If it was much older, there might be possibly issues with dependencies.

    Sure.
    Policy > actions > new > settings > user Interface > star mode > Silent > Assign target client > check > finish.
    Silent: No notifications or alerts will be displayed. Graphical user interface can only be started by the Administrator.

    I've been browsing through the website with the intention to reproduce the detection to no avail. Have you already cleaned the website? If not, please provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector.

    The error means that the http response 405 Method not allowed was received.
    Do you connect directly to the Internet or through a proxy server or firewall? Could you try connecting trough a different ISP?

    No. The license will be valid for 1 or 2 years, depending on what license you purchase and will enable you to install ESET on 3 devices. We do not sell licenses for 3 years and 2 years are maximum to my best knowledge.
