  1. Hello zazakra, Can you check tools > Log files > ESET Personal Firewall log and show us a sample of the blocked instance?
  2. Hello tmuster2k Try /unwanted Also take a look at our ESET Command Line Scanner Parameters article for more info.
  3. Hello Joe47, Please follow the steps in the Knowledgebase article below: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3189
  4. Are you referring to the update from 8.0.301 to 8.0.304 or just the new features in version 8 in general? If the question is what changed in 8.0.304 versus 8.0.301 as far as I am aware these were very small improvements related to different language versions (localization). You downloaded the EU version you should be fine. The in-product update will be available soon so you can wait until then.
  5. I'm replying to let you know that you are not being ignored. There are a few things I am waiting to hear back on at which point I will follow up with the answer here. Thank you for your patience, hqsec!
  6. In-product upgrades to version 8 are not yet available. You can install v8 over your current version by using the link below and choosing 'activate using username and password' during the installation process. hxxp://www.eset.com/us/download/home/
  7. Don't know if you have tested excluding the Themida application completely as well as saving the protected version in an different path than the default path. Just a thought.
  8. Thanks for sharing rugK. I will surely test this with friends and family.
  9. Your hardware firewall monitors packet data between the internet and your computer. If by chance something got passed the hardware firewall your network could become infected. In this scenario a software firewall will protect your computer if the hardware firewall fails. Think of it as two gatekeepers. Another positive for software firewalls is that you get notifications when a possibly unknown application is attempting to access the internet. You can also choose which applications you want connecting to the internet at any moment. For example, there was an exploit found on a certain application that uses the internet, you can choose to block that application until a patch has been released without the need to uninstall it outright. No matter what software firewall you choose, it is a good idea to have both a hardware and software firewall. In general, multi-layer security is always a good idea.
  10. Hello, Just making sure that you have followed the exact steps in the Knowledgebase article below: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3207
  11. Hello nminkov, Is the file being blocked upon creation? Is your .exe is created and saved in a folder without execution? Can you try going into Real-time file system protection and uncheck the file creation box? Obviously the ideal scenario is to have it checked but as long as you have file open and file execution checked you should be OK at least during the issue diagnosis.
  12. Hello, We will update https://forum.eset.com/topic/3328-eset-nod32-antivirus-version-8-has-been-released/ when more languages are released.
  13. I've noticed more traffic to this post, possibly due to people upgrading their OS. The KB link quoted has been updated on January 2014. Windows Live Mail 2012 is supported, however the following should be noted - "With Windows Live Mail 2011 / 2012, although no ESET icon appears in the taskbar, the plug-in is othewise fully functional".
  14. @Corey Bryant I apologize for the trouble you're having. Have you tried these specific instructions for performing a hard reset on your phone? It's a T-Mobile KB doc that shows you the steps. EMS should not keep you from performing a hard reset. If this fails, your best bet at this point is to fill out a support request form HERE and work with one of our technical support agents. They might request to call you if they can't get you into safe mode using emailed instructions.
  15. Hello Zardoc, I am checking in with you to see if you are still experiencing this issue. Thanks!
  16. Hello DrTeeth, There are options to remedy the issue . Please visit SOLN2838 and let us know the results if you would be so kind. Best Regards, Javier
  17. Hello babagaga24, There was a lot of work done in V6.0.308.0 to address this and similar issues with SSL. We are now on version 6.0.316.0 - You'll want to update your software here . Please let us know if this doesn't resolve the issue so we can ask you for more information. At this point all we know is that you're using ESS 5. Version 6.0.308.0 addressed SSL issues that were not browser specific so updating your version to the latest would still be a good idea. Kind Regards, Javier
  18. We'll allow 24hrs to pass before marking this issue as resolved so that Carl S has an opportunity to respond. Thank you webyourbusiness for your positive contribution.
  19. Yes I do. After testing several different scenarios where ESET NOD32 was installed before and after Jetico firewall was installed, we have some good data to show that it is Jetico firewall's rules functionality that is breaking our software. Regardless of the settings and rules, the Jetico firewall does not hold the settings in order to allow our software to work. Through the program, there is absolutely no way around this. At this point, the Jetico firewall software must be the point of solution in order to resolve this issue. I will send you a PM so I can hand over the screenshots of the test to you. I appreciate your patience! Best of luck.
  20. Hello 0strodamus, I'll have some data for you this Wednesday.
  21. No support tickets regarding NOD32 and WEBROOT SecureAnywhere as of yet. I would try switching off real-time protection and rebooting, monitor for a bit and see which program tends to cause the "skittish" behavior when they're real-time protection is disabled. Of course, you probably already know this but running two AVs with real-time protection enabled will likely cause performance issues.
  22. Hello 0stradamus, I apologize for the miscommunication. We are still testing on our end as well. I remember Jetico from back in the day, seems like they improved some things over the years not to mention their website. In any matter, while testing on both ends is still in progress, I was wondering if you could go through this article when you have time and configure the firewall to allow these specific addresses and ports. I realize that you have bypassed everything with logging rule, however if everything worked as expected we wouldn't be having this conversation . Please let me know how it goes. hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/SOLN332&ref=esf
