Yes it is
Network Protection is available in Internet Security and Smart Security
It is not available in Antivirus edition.

Or clear your browser history and/or cache in Chrome at its close time and see if that resolves the alerts.

Hah, thanks. Just different than usual MacOS admin user details box. Managed now to change the settings and allow file sending to be analysed from the quarantine. I hope the file is sent now, can someone confirm please.
Great stuff, many thanks for the help so far!

Nightowl gave kudos to intika in ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux Desktop version 4.0.95.0 bug, active detection don't work for all process
Thanks:
First thank you for this nice product
Happy and sad:
It's really tiring to always have one of version out of two working on Linux, other than the bad/weird fact that we have to check manually for app updates; Every time there is an update I get exited and get happy because the product is rarely updated (it does the job tho, this is what's most important) but on the other hand application updates (not the data base) are a true disaster for a professional commercial product; I always ask my self if the new version would works and do extensive tests each time I update, that should not be the case, we are not beta testers but your paying customers. I know Linux can be complicated (and/or required very technically capable developers) but it's not more complicated than windows on the contrary it's simpler and fully open source... speaking of which I really think you should opensource Nod32 for Linux the product would become way much better. you can still keep the license side of it closed source (even if it's no secret it just use a simple authentication user/pass over web to get the updates...), you really just need to opensource it with an adequate protective license.... anyway I just wanted to share this mixed paradoxal feeling about Nod32 for Linux, it's amazingly great but sadly it is also a mess. the application look like it is just maintained to survive with the very very minimal functionality... even on the financial aspect you have to manually give each new user its license (user/pass) manually, this does not feel like a product from a big company like yours.
The v4.0.95.0 bug:
After upgrading from v4.0.93.0 to v4.0.95.0 and rebooting of course, start testing with the eicar test file... Nod32 does not detect the virus on a lot of application, chrome browser (was the case before), micro editor, cat from terminal... etc. but it did detect and block the test virus with ark and kwrite... Using a RHEL based system with kernel v4.14.
Solution:
Downgrade to v4.0.93.0 where everything works just fine, even with latest Firefox and Chrome...

You don't see ESET icon in system indicator icons?

Nightowl received kudos from chrlshlmn in Eset and other security software
You could download HitmanPro as a second opinion scanner as it doesn't have a real-time protection module.

Nightowl gave kudos to Marcos in Error downloading file from server
Obviously a crack was applied so updates from the pirated server won't work. Unfortunately we do not sell to Iran but you can uninstall ESET, install it from scratch and activate a 30-day trial version.

I am author of the program.

Nightowl gave kudos to itman in using prepaid mastercard
Exactly. Eset can use him as source for a new advertising slogan, " I traveled to Timbuktu and back just to use Eset."😁

Nightowl received kudos from Mirek S. in Kid can uninstall Parent control in Safe mode
That's a smart kid you have , it's quite a good thing , he is cheating your security measures , another version of you.
You can lock the software with an AppLocker , but that won't prevent him from booting to safe mode again and remove it , you can close your bootloader/recovery , so he cannot do hard reset.

Nightowl gave kudos to Peter Randziak in Eset Detects .Dll But Not .Exe Version?
Hello @itman,
the .exe itself is not malicious, it loads the .dll, which is being detected...

Nightowl gave kudos to Marcos in Having truble with Metatrader [Emofid Version]
The alert reads "Suspicious" detection which means the file was blocked by LiveGrid or EDTD.
Detection of suspicious app would look like
file.exe - a variant of Win32/Packed.VMProtect.AC suspicious application
-
Nightowl received kudos from jafarfathi in Having truble with Metatrader [Emofid Version]
It is your suspicious application setting that is triggering this detection , you can add this software to exclusions if you trust it so it won't be detected anymore.
-
Nightowl received kudos from jafarfathi in Having truble with Metatrader [Emofid Version]
But it is the machine learning that is triggering the detection , not the update database
The way this program behaves is being triggered by AUGUR that is suspicious

Nightowl received kudos from ValerieMichelle007 in ESET Internet Security blocks a URL, but ESET Mobile Security doesnt
Mobile Security needs some kind of permissions for Anti-Phishing to work properly , have you enabled that?

Nightowl received kudos from ebill in Release 13.2.15 before official announcement
You are just angry at something that you can't change , all companies do the same , they release an update and then they give the change notes after a while , or go meet Microsoft , they won't tell you what changed. or say hello to Steam
I don't represent ESET , and I don't work for them , but a delay of a bit or few hours after being posted in their download page and after that to their forum , it doesn't mean anything bad , they have posted it they didn't hide them , It's just a matter of a little bit of time delaying the upgrade so you can read the notes and after than initiate your upgrade or delay it for next version.

Just wait till you see official notes before you upgrade , or refuse the upgrade if you don't know the changes.
