  1. HIPS is a behavioral analysis extension. It watches applications, the registry, memory, and is part of self-defense for malware that tries to disable security services, objects or drivers etc. If you were referring to the enterprise version of windows 10, that's nothing new, group policy has been providing those same type of rules for years and years on domains and networks.
  2. Not sure if there is a similar document but ask your question and be specific on application, ip, port, subnet and we may be able to answer easily here which rules take priority.
  3. Which two bugs. Have you tried adding exclusions of any of the directories to see if boot speed clears up ? How about disabling scheduler and start up scans planet ?
  4. Maybe, but i am not sure ESET has release that info publicly. It's heuristically incorrect and can be used in malware.
  5. Multiple macs on a network ? administering and gathering logs ? This was designed for endpoints and ERA. Sorry there is no mac version of era.
  6. Its like, was this edited ? You created a new search, and set the subnet to 10.131.36 , but with only 1 lease of .001 (10.131.36.1) Are you sure you didnt have default search task selected when you clicked search, and then clicked after the fact on your range ? I'm confused but understand when you say : How lol ?
  7. The notifications your seeing aren't the regular VSD updates ? because those are by default every 60m.
  8. Is this with smart optimization in the profile, or without ?
  9. Did adding \\ourdomain.local\ to the exclusions list, for web protection do anything either ? What about pinging from the dc to the client working ?
  10. So the scenario is getting the Update server settings pulled from the xml ? It wont install already checking to your ERA server ?
  11. Your better off with your UTM box for handling ports coming in and out of the dmz, or between public and private / wan-lan, but i would still use the software driver firewall by eset for applications that are doing sneaky things by network on the lan. Yes the trusted zone should be your local subnet, i would add your dc or dns/router to trusted as well if its subnet falls outside. Or just plain the dns if its external too. Each endpoint wont need to be configured if you create a policy in the ERA and assign all the clients to that policy, you can also push the installs with that config too ! So your eset firewall is configured correctly. For less management i would just install Endpoint Antivirus, use windows firewall, and or manage your UTM box if thats what you mean.
  12. You also need to go into ERA and then Tools > Server options > Updates tab, and then set your mirror settings, and fire the event for updates and creation of the mirror. Then you can have your clients update vsd from your local server.
  13. When you say User subscribe to Office365.... If you are migrating mailboxes from a local mail server or different hosting to office 365, you will need to create new mail profiles anyway. This has nothing to do with ESET. Your original ost is gonna get burned, and you need to move your pst's into the new mail profiles after setting up office 365.
  14. Hello, If you right click on a computer in the client list, of the clients tab, and choose Set policy, then choose your newly created policy, what happens ? When you say you add clients, how are you doing this ? Are you looking at the filtering on the left ? I woudn't go that route. Create the policy with manager, then right click your clients and set policy in the clients window. Unless your playing with groups and multiple policies. Next time they connect to ERA they will update.
  15. ghorbani, did you have ransomware ? Need help ?
  16. Check your Task scheduler, reset your browsers, delete any browser shortcuts, make sure your home pages and tabs are not set to that site either.
  17. The distributors don't always have direct contact with ESET everyday. They are given tools, resources, and the product becomes trade. You may wish to contact the distributor you placed the order with and ensure they renewed, got your order, or are not having difficulties finding your account. If you purchased from a distributor, you have to renew with them to keep the same license, ESET can't renew, However you can purchase a new license with ESET, or a new license with the distributor !
  18. ESET already posted that the mistake was corrected on the distributor side along time ago. If i recall Think it was media and not forums though.
  19. You can purchase multiple seat licenses, and receive 1 username and password (or serial). You cannot purchase 1 seat license and expect that username and password (serial) to work for both. You will get an activation error, or at the time of updates they will fail, and you will cease to have the latest protection or scanning database. 1 alternative is that this is primarily for updates and cannot be used simultaneously. You can switch between PC's and this is how migrating licenses works, but they will never work together at the same time. Best to just purchase a 3 user license, or 2 seat if a business.
  20. They always saying bad performance. I think they smoking somethin during testing.
