A new version of ESET Endpoint Security is planned later this year.

It appears to be a bug in the real-time protection driver which should be fixed in the next hotfix of Endpoint 11.

Since you have JDK v17, you'll probably need to configure it as per https://support.eset.com/en/kb7088, part ESET PROTECT 8.0 with JDK 17 settings.

Please check the connection settings in your agent policy and make sure that the server is configured correctly. The message means that agent could not connect using current server settings but the connection was successful when previous server settings were used.

If you create a custom rule and edit it later, you should see the last changed date in that column. Default (built-in) rules are rarely updated.

Files were encrypted by FIlecoder.BlackMatter (detection added in July 2022). Unfortunately decryption is not currently possible.
ESET was probably not installed at the time of encryption.
An adversary gained access to the machine and created several folders from which the ransomware was run (some letters were replaces with ?):

TeamViewer was installed 2 days prior to the encryption.
UAC is disabled. Make sure to enable it.

This worked for me:
- set a system date from before Dec 7
- rebooted the server to ensure that drivers are loaded
- installed EFSW 9.0.12018.0 over 9.0.12013.0
- rebooted the server

Hard to say. Browser protection module 1337 was released for another group of users. If you want, you could check if the issue recurs after switching to the pre-release update channel and then back to the regular channel when the module 1336 would be downloaded.

I'd strongly recommend re-enabling SSL/TLS filtering, otherwise you expose the computer to Internet-borne threats. Nowadays most malware originates from HTTPS sites so without SSL/TLS filtering downloaded files are not scanned and malicious web pages may not be blocked.
The issue with the said sites has been reported to developers for investigation.

Streamed (pico) updates are a few bytes in size. Engine updates are typically a couple of kB if you update modules on a regular basis and don't skip updates. Module updates are bigger, one with the most notable size is the Machine learning module which is released several times a year and can be dozens of MB in size as there are basically no similarities with the previous version and the module contains quite much data about machine learning models.
