esetquestion 0 Posted July 24, 2014 Share Posted July 24, 2014 Purchased the 2 year 2 pc license and never got my acitvation email. I had to have it sent on the lost license page. Well the system keeps emailing me 2 trial username/passwords with EXPIRED expiration dates. NONE of the phone numbers work, you get an automated voice that says "Sorry that extension is not available". And of course the live online chat page never loads either. I'll NEVER purchase from eset EVER again. I'll be going to the better business bureau to get my refund since none of esets communication channels is open for their customers. RIDICULOUS. Sometimes they do end up there. But this communication channel is open so don't worry ESET will fix this for you. In the meantime, you can download a fully functional 30-day trial from the website and when you get the 2 yr / 2 pc license you just need to change the user/pass in the product. I'm at a conference away from the office this week myself, and I understand there was some kind of pervasive IT outage. ESET does, of course, have redundant infrastructure, has various policies and procedures in places for contingencies (earthquakes, power outages, etc.) and backs them up with multiples tests and drills a year, but there are still some situations where things don't go smoothly. I don't have exact details myself what happened yet (I'm out of the office) but my understanding is that service was restored within a few hours, although it may have been slow due to the backlog Feel free to call ESET's customer care folks at +1 (866) 343-3738 tomorrow morning and someone will be able to help you with your licenses.
