  1. The error message is covered in this KB Article: KB2955 which recommends a manual installation. Instructions can be found HERE if this fails, let us know.
  2. If you open the Task Manager, are you seeing an increase/decrease for egui.exe or ekrn.exe that coincides with this noise?
  3. The new service release (9.0.349.0) is available as a PCU update for those who have pre-release updates turned on OR you can install it from eset.com directly.
  4. This feature is available on my.eset.com. Just go to status and click "Play Siren" You can also send an sms to your phone from another phone by texing the command: eset siren <password>* *<password> is the password you set up, ignoring the brackets.
  5. Do you have an ESET icon in your system tray or Programs list? Can you open the program window? If not, it's possible you do not have ESET installed.
  6. Our apologies for the delay in approving your posts. I'll get that taken care of now and answer what I can.
  7. Thanks for the feedback! Please add this suggestion to the Future Changes to ESET Smart Security thread.
  8. Based on our current licensing system, unfortunately it won't be possible to do this. Our holiday sale is only available through our online store* and those licenses begin immediately as soon as the order is complete and affects all users on that license. There are some occasional circumstances where ESET resellers would bundle boxed CDs so you could buy multiple license keys in one purchase and then activate them "at will" but to my knowledge that currently doesn't exist and again this sale is only available through our online store. You could purchase a one-user/two year license for the new laptop and take advantage of the 50% off, and then you'll get 25% off renewal of your current license when it expires in 5 months. The only negative on this would be having two separate licenses that are spaced 5 months apart. *Available to US and Canada residents only
  9. This is a known issue which is being fixed in an upcoming service release. We do not have a date for when this build will be released but we expect it will be very soon. Our apologies for the annoyance and frustration. We thank you for your patience and for reaching out to us.
  10. I'm only seeing this now but thank you for the kind wishes, Tom. It was an amazing weekend! I also want to give a big shout out and thank you to our colleagues worldwide and those here in the US who came in for a few hours over the holiday to take care of our customers while the office was closed.
  11. What on earth would make you think that? And to further clarify what Michal said, v6.3 will be released when it's ready. That date hasn't been set yet, regardless of what anyone at ESET has said thus far. We want to ensure that when it is made available, the quality of the changes we've made are as high as can be.
  12. Once released, it should be part of the general update process and shouldn't require an uninstall/reinstall.
  13. It may help to run ESET Manual Uninstaller Tool to clear out any remaining files. If you'd like to upgrade to Windows 10, we'd recommend doing that before reinstalling ESET. BTW, what ESET product are you using? NOD32 Antivirus or Smart Security?
  14. We're always working on new builds to improve detection and address known issues. We're aware of the above issue (and others) with v9 and the first service release is nearly ready. We unfortunately do not have an exact date but once it is available, we will announce it here on the forums, as we always try to do. Thank you for your attention on this and patience. Stay tuned. It's coming soon!
  15. This ESET Knowledgebase article may provide some help for you in this situation. KB2280
  16. Thanks! To be honest, this is one of my favorite features as well. You could turn on Automatic Updating but I like to see and choose what it is I'm updating. For example, "Upgrade to Windows 10" is not on my current list of needs atm. But employee or not, I love that ESET pushes these notifications.
  17. Every day we're shufflin... ...sorry. I got in early this morning and I haven't had any coffee yet.
  18. In short - YES Slightly longer, is this excerpt from our Legal page: See this page for more info: hxxp://www.eset.com/int/legal-information/ As for how to report any violations or abuse you see, you can send a private message to myself or another moderator and we can pass that through the proper channels.
  19. Thanks everyone for your feedback! Due to the responses we've seen here and elsewhere, we'll get started right away on documentation for the Offline Mirror Tool and the Improved Threat Options. Always, we're working on expanding and improving our documentation. So, if your choice wasn't selected now, that doesn't necessarily mean it's not coming. So for that, we'll close this for now. Thanks again!
  20. Thanks for the kind words, guys. Our soft launch started mid-August and we've gradually started to bump up the percentage of visitors that see the new site vs the old design. What do you like best about the new design? Is there anything that could be improved?
  21. Thank you! Our web team is a great group of girls and guys who've been working very hard on this for a long time. I know they'll appreciate your praise!
  22. Confirming that our support agents sent him the license information about 4 hours after the last post here. @smile71 please let us know if your brother has not received this information. Thank you.
  23. See Marcos' post above and please do the same, if you haven't done so already.
  24. In the new ESET Remote Administrator 6.2, there are many improvements, changes, and new features. As we work on documentation, we'd like to know which items you would like to see prioritized. Use the poll above to select up to 3 items you'd like to see more comprehensive documentation for. For example, we completed documentation for the new Migration Tool feature: Online Help: hxxp://help.eset.com/era_install/62/en-US/migration_tool.htm Knowledgebase article: How do I upgrade ESET Remote Administrator 5 to version 6? Knowledgebase YouTube video: Migrate ESET Remote Administrator 5 to ERA 6 on the same server
  25. You may also want to try the following: 1. From the home screen of your Android device, go to Settings → Apps, and tap Mobile Security & Antivirus. 2. Tap Clear cache. 3. Perform a manual update of the virus signature database to verify that the issue has been resolved.
