  1. Did you use the same reset method shown in KB6272 or did you find another way?
  2. This is excellent! Well, as I hear so often, people tend to take the word of someone they know over any brand. Honestly, I'm the same way. Depending on the nature of the message, sometimes it just has more weight and credibility when it comes from a user vs a brand. So our deep thanks for going through all of this work and writing out an amazing analysis. You don't happen to be on Spiceworks do you? This could be a great topic of discussion there (which is already going on in a couple spots in the community) where established AV vendors like ESET are being hit hard for "not performing well" on RanSim.
  3. Essentially it depends on what country you're in. Most eset.com pages should include a redirect for eset.com/contact (or a Contact link at the far bottom of the home page, link within "Support" in the menu at the top, etc) which will provide much of the current contact information relevant to your local office, partner or distributor.
  4. Just a few questions to help us understand your issue: You mentioned the version of the ESET product you are running is 6.3 - is this ESET NOD32 Antivirus or is this our business product, either ESET Endpoint Antivirus or ESET Mail Security? It is also difficult to clearly understand the issue you are having with your email. Please tell me if I am correct and if not, hopefully you can communicate the problem more clearly: With the ESET plugin enabled in Outlook, your mail loads into Outlook whenever you open it from the File Directory. If I understand correctly, this is not what you want. With the ESET plugin disabled in Outlook, your mail does not load into Outlook if you try to open it from File Directory. If I understand correctly, this is how you would like it to be. You would like to maintain email protection but disable the option for mail to autoload into the inbox. So again, if I understand correctly, Outlook is not your preferred email client. If this is so, you can disable integration of ESET with Outlook. From within Outlook 2010: Click File → Options. Click Add-ins. Select the ESET Outlook Add-in from the list of add-ins and then click Go. Deselect the check box next to ESET Outlook Add-in and confirm by clicking OK If you're using ESET Mail Security 6.3, the solution may be different. If I am not correctly understanding your issue, please let us know.
  5. Hi John - ESET Smart Security is now called ESET Internet Security. Your license for ESET Smart Security will continue to work and you can upgrade to the latest version at no extra cost, which is ESET Internet Security 10. Apologies for the confusion!
  6. Can the winner (and I use that term very loosely) request a photo with or without cruise ship in dock?
  7. It would for you since you're not in that region. He could also remove "/tools/" and just try https://www.eset.com/store which should redirect to the ESET page in his region.
  8. Have you tried https://store.esetme.com/ You can also try contacting one of the partners in your region. You can find a list of those here: https://www.eset.com/int/business/partner/find/pakistan/
  9. Since we don't make the software, it's difficult to say. If standard Control Panel uninstallation methods aren't working and the program folder has no uninstall option, you may need to reach out to AT&T Support for assistance there. You can also try to contact the product manufacturers, Sutherland Global Services but they don't appear to have any online support options available on their website; only phone numbers you can call based on what region you're in. Google searches resulted in various sites pushing their own uninstaller tools, none of which appeared trustworthy. Conclusion: I'd recommend reaching out to AT&T first, then Sutherland if AT&T are unable to help.
  10. We're on it! I'm connecting with the product managers now to verify. Based on KB2893, ESET File Security 4.5 for Linux/FreeBSD is compatible with: Linux Kernel version 2.6.x or later; glibc 2.3.6 or later Dazuko kernel module 2.0.0 or later FreeBSD – Version 9.x RedHat should fall under the Linux Kernel. Maybe this will help provide more details. This is from the online-help. hxxp://help.eset.com/efs/4/en-US/sysreq.htm
  11. "If I reinstall my operating system and reinstall ESET...it will detect it as the same computer?" Yes "What if I want to transfer ESET from an old computer (one it was installed on before) to a new one?" You can do this and it won't count against your total "users" count. The only time that old HDD or old computer would show up as an extra device on your "users" count, is if it: A.) Still had ESET installed on it AND B.) Was connected to the internet If either one of those is not the case, then you have nothing to worry about.
  12. Are you using ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux or did you try to install ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Windows onto a Linux distro? see: https://www.eset.com/fr/home/products/antivirus-linux/ Have you verified that the version and distro of Linux you're using is compatible with the latest version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux? see:
  13. Please see: https://forum.eset.com/topic/250-eset-has-blocked-my-site-what-to-do/
  14. I'll also add that we ask (for security reasons) that you not use your license username as your username on the forums. See Rule #1 here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/76-rules-of-the-eset-security-forum/ Please change your username. To do that: At the top of the forums page, on the left in the header click your username Click "My Settings" On the left side of the screen, click "Display Name" Type your new display name (NOT your license number or password) Type your current Forums password Click Save Changes
  15. The beta password likely won't work since it's now in production. There are two potential options: 1. Purchase a paid license and use the key from that or 2. uninstall the app and reinstall the latest version from Google Play.
  16. Give our sales team a call. If you ever need to expand a license, I know they'd be happy to help. Our support team is also always available to guide you in setting up those tasks and processes to keep your environment running smooth. https://www.eset.com/de/about/contact/
  17. Today is both creme-filled-donut day AND eat a hoagie day. Well, now I know what breakfast and lunch will be!
  18. Phoenix has it pretty much right: 1. At this time there is no way to login and view your license or edit your profile/account information. This is something we've looked into but haven't found a solution we're satisfied with. We plan to continue searching for a solution but in the meantime, ESET Customer Care is the best route for getting current license info, changing account info (name, email, address, phone, etc) etc 2. Whenever your ESET product contacts our servers for an update, the server checks your license to verify it's current and then keeps track of how many devices are trying to update using the same credentials. Since a computer that's no longer being used or the o/s that you just installed over won't be checking for updates, you don't have to worry about ESET inadvertently using (or detecting) the third remaining spot on your license?
  19. ESET doesn't officially recommend for or against any specific programs for suppressing ad display. It's always safer to avoid clicking ads at all but that's not why I personally use ad blockers. It's mostly just to avoid the visual clutter they cause on websites. As a personal user, I've used Adblock Plus and been happy with it...until this news hit yesterday: hxxp://www.theverge.com/2016/9/13/12890050/adblock-plus-now-sells-ads Now, I have the same question as you do. Perhaps it's time to just deal with the visual clutter, continue using safe online practices and rely on multi-layered security solutions like ESET and their partners provide, just to be safe.
  20. Sorry for the delay. If you're still having this issue, please open a new thread in the forum matching the ESET product you're using and we'll try to assist you with this. Thanks for your patience.
  21. Please create a thread for it in the forum that fits the ESET product you're using and we'll help you there. Thanks for joining us!
  22. That's a good way to get in direct contact with our customer care team, but not necessarily our development team. If you see anything in our "Future changes to..." threads (Like the one here for Smart Security or here for NOD32 Antivirus) that you agree with or would also like to see, feel free to click the green up arrow button in their response. That's one way to "Vote this post up" There's also nothing wrong with replying to their response, quoting it, and adding your voice to also wanting to see this idea or enhancement implemented or letting us know you're also having that problem. Both will work. With other threads, where someone's posted about a specific issue that matches one you're also having, it's good to read through the responses, try the suggested solutions (or the best answer if there is one) and if none of them have resolved the issue for you, let us know by replying to the same thread and sharing any information (non-personal of course) that you think might be helpful in narrowing down the potential cause/solution for our community of tech/moderators. It's in working together that we reach our goals and help everyone find resolution. Thanks and glad you've joined us!
  23. You could try adding it as an exclusion using the steps found on our Knowledgebase here: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2960/ look for the step on using wildcards as that could help resolve the issue you're currently having.
  24. Since most new computers come pre-installed with security software from another vendor, we'd recommend uninstalling it as that could be what's causing the hangup. You can find our AV Removal Tool as well as links to official links for each vendor here: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb146/
  25. Sorry to hear about the issues you've had trying to get in touch with us. Please send me a private message (PM) with your preferred contact info and a username (NOT pswd) to help us connect your account. I'll have someone reach out to you directly, so we can help you resolve this issue with the Kaseya plugin as soon as possible.
