ESET Staff Gonzalo Alvarez 66 Posted April 26, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 26, 2016 Hi @rafor, Be sure to have the ERA Agent installed first. If you already have, can post an screenshot and the log of the task?
rafor 0
Hi, the problem is that, the task isn't create correct via web console. I create task but when I save it I have information, I have error from webconsole: "Client task has been saved, but there was an error adding its targets." So task is saved but without any targets. I have it on my taks list and when I check it (there are no targets inside). So I try to edit task and add targets again but the result is the same: "Client task has been saved, but there was an error adding its targets." So I have task without any targets. Maybe this is becouse of server and web console version. ESET Remote Administrator (Server), Version 6.3.136.0 ESET Remote Administrator (Webconsole), Version 6.1.334. ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted April 27, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 27, 2016 Your webconsole has not been updated. You need to manually download and place the era.war into the tomcat directory (while tomcat service stopped) and previous era webconsole folder (webapps/era) either removed or renamed to smth. else. Once you restart the tomcat and wait a while, until it extracts everything it should all work normally.

It is definitely caused by version mismatch. Webconsole must be from the same release batch as there is no backward compatibility. Please upgrade to latest Webconsole. What about version of webconsole, I get the enviroment about one week ago from another peson. So I must download MSI with ESET Remote Administrator 6.3.136.0 and from there extract era.war ? Webconsole is separate component. You should be able to download it directly (era.war file) and follow installation steps from documentation: hxxp://help.eset.com/era_install/63/en-US/component_installation_webconsole_windows.htm
ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted April 27, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 27, 2016 Direct download link for the webconsole is: hxxp://download.eset.com/download/ra/v6/standalone-installers/webconsole/era.war(it downloads the version 6.3, which is needed for you). Can't this be updated via component update on ERA?
ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted April 27, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 27, 2016 Theoretically yes. But this state indicates, that previous component upgrade task failed, as the server is updated, and webconsole is not. Manual replacement of webconsole is the safest way to go in case of such cases. ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted May 17, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted May 17, 2016 You need to: Stop ERA Server & Apache Tomcat Rename the "era" folder in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps directory to something else (era2) Unzip the ERA war to "era" folder in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps directory Start ERA Server Start Apache Tomcat Login to the Webconsole
