  1. hello @elle To keep your settings and make the easy the update you can go to "Updates" and hit to search for any updates and new versions. If a new versión is not show just wait, will be there soon. Even is you don't do anything our last versions of Home product has an auto-update related to the version. After install you just will be ask to reboot the system from inside ESET. Note: I don't know if your country has an special setting by ESET, so far in my region what I say happens.
  2. Hello, @TomTomTom and @IT-KAV As @Marcos pointed, what you do and mention is a "workaround" not the solution for the problem. In order to find the root of the problem and find a permanent solution, we need logs to investigate. Please increase the verbosity of the logs and wait for the issue to reappear, if need contact more speed or dedicated team I suggeest contact your local ESET support to open a ticket.
  3. Hello @TomTomTom Please reset the firewall to default and be sure is on "Automatic mode", then restart the computer. Let us know if the issue was resolved or not.
  4. Hello @Aim2018 As you posted in the "Business Section" I'm going to guess you are using "ESET Remote Administrator" or "ESET Security Management Center" (correct me if I wrong). You can use the link below, and for MS Windows Server operation System, you should use "ESET File Security for Windows Server" when you have to choose the Security Product.   5. Hello @TheSkymanDC In this case I suggest you contact your local ESET Support, they will ask for some logs related to the communication between your network and ESET Servers. When you contact them, please mention the following to speed up the process: your license public ID (sequence of letters and numbers like "A1b-c2d-e3d", quantity of seats (PC) affected, screenshots if you can What step you try to solve the problem if you try some ESET KB guides, mention them What ESET Software you are using ("ESET Remote Administrator v6.x" or "ESET Security Management Center v7.x"?   6. Hello @Sikkerhet Seems to be you're looking for something like a "Data Loss Prevention" software which also control what the user does and what happens to the files on the terminals with logs. Perhaps Safetica DLP, one of our Alliance can help you on that way. You can got more info on their website, https://www.safetica.com/products/safetica-dlp To prevent access to some websites and url we have "Control web" on the Endpoint Security products, which works by "Category" like "social networks" allowint to block, report or access all of them without write down each one or add a list.   7. Hello @rpnc; Which product and version are you using (ESET Remote Administrator / ESET Security Management Center)? As you pointed the task have problem to access the repository in the ESET servers "sometimes", from that I suggest you look into this KB and try to use some of the points there.   9. Hello @slarkins, In our YouTube channel you can find some videos related to ESET Remote Administrator 6.x and versions 6. If you know the basics on ERAv6.x you can easy get use to ESMC v7. Important: Is suggested a test enviroment with at least 2 computers, and you can use the "ESET Security Management Center Virtual Appliance" to deploy Agents and later Endpoints.   12. Hello @Grey Crimson @Marcos is asking the public identification or "public ID" of you license product, which you can find on "Help and Support" > "Details for customer care". Is a sequence or 3 numbers and letters separated by a " - " like "A1A-2B2-3C3"

As you also pointed we are trying to help you to get your phone back, that's why @Marcos didn't ask for settings or else, instead is pointing you directly to a solution of the problem.   15. Hi @Chirac As @Marcos pointed the ESET updates every 60 min the modules and virus database. To update the versión you have to run a task as "software installation" with the latest version of the product and the parameters required. Please note, Home versions updated automatically in version, Endpoint products requires someone who do the job or set the task.

  21. Hi @hardy123 As is mention in the KB, you have to add those IP to your firewall in the case of having problems with activation on ESET Endpoint products.
  22. Hi, I strongly suggest you uninstall and verify all MySQL are removed from the system before another attempt. Also is good make sure you clean all temporal files and reboot. You don't need to install alone the MySQL, just try the "All-in-one" pack (which have everything you need) and is done. Let us know the results.
