  1. It seems to be part of the online reputation database (ESET Live Grid). Why it is being blocked as unsafe I'm not sure though
  2. If you go into setup - network - connected networks - what is the network set as e.g. public, home/office etc. If public, try setting to home network
  3. As said there is a reason for the block. It is bad practise to simply allow things without knowing the potential risks
  4. The only thing that might not work is the banking protection which launches banking sites in a specially designed browser window. However using eset without banking protection is still secure. I can't say what browsers will/won't work as I use chrome which is compatible.
  5. Just to clarify when you purchased the license how long was it for
  6. Does eset sell 2-3 month licenses. Thought the minimum was usually 1 year
  7. Just curious why you would want to block updates. I can understand disabling automatic updates and preferring manual updates. However your computer could be at risk when missing each update because of security holes and so on. Do you plan to update manually?
  8. I got a weird invalided url thing the other day and had just posted text nothing else
  9. Your best bet would be emailing the support as this is more public. But if you show proof of your phone infection we can help
  10. Like Nightowl I don't work for eset but I do like to try and help. However I think a lot of the information is being lost in translation as I can see you are Slovakia. Now eset is actually based in Slovakia and at the bottom page of the forums there is actually a forum area for Slovakia where you can speak in your native language which might be beneficial. As for your malware - do you have any evidence, screenshots etc. of the malware. These would be very helpful as any evidence might be able to shed some light to what you have been infected with.
  11. I use Automatic firewall myself now (used to use interactive mode). I believe you can disable Chrome updates without the need for the firewall https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/stop-automatic-chrome-updates-windows/ This will at least stop chrome updating automatically itself. You could run the firewall after than it interactive mode and try to update and possibly tell eset to block it however you may block the wrong thing.
  12. Did you get this sorted. If not can you tell me how you got the issue on the game. I got the game free via epic and have downloaded and installed tried a solo online play but didn't get any crash but maybe I'm doing it wrong. If I can get the game to crash I can maybe pinpoint the issue
  13. interesting does that mean eset is looking into VPN services?
  14. I'll add i use free download manager and have had no issues
  15. I can't see eset doing this myself and i can see some users finding it an unwanted extra but I have wondered if this could be a good idea before. Hackers will look for vulnerabilities to abuse to get access to a computer and one way would be out of date software so I do see some merit in this idea.
  16. I don't really know a lot about the free versions but is it the same engine as paid or will the paid version find more etc. I know some free versions don't have real-time protection but not sure if there's anything missing from the actual scanner Exactly. The tests can help you decide what to buy but it all comes down to personal opinion. I know people move around depending on test results but for me I've had no issues with Eset so there is no point in moving. As I've said before a few times I've had issues with other AVs in the past including BitDefender. It's probably a lot better now as it was quite a few years ago but it put me off. It's the same with Norton. I know a lot of people who hated Norton and would never use it again but it probably has became a lot better but to them it has a bad reputation now
  17. For BitDefender and Kaspersky was this the free one on the results? Also they have a lot more false positives?
  18. The thing is people tend to only see the bad stuff or at least the stuff that looks bad
  19. I did get the game free the other day via epic. If I can I will try and download it sometime this week possibly Wednesday or Thursday and try and see if the same happens and if I can locate the issue
  20. Only other thing I can think of if the last thing doesn't work is to disable as much setting wise as possible and launch the game. If the game does launch and has no issues start enabling each setting individually and testing the game and seeing if it still works. This might be more time consuming but at least it could help identify which setting is causing the issue
  21. Did you try disabling hips and adding a performance exception? Your best bet might be creating a support ticket via the website as this can be tracked
  22. Updated today to the stable version of build 2004 and haven't seen any issues. Seem to be slowly rolling it out now
