Strange, It worked fine on windows 7 x64 with Firefox 115.2.1esr (x64) and chrome with 16.0.27 until I just updated this morning to 16.0.28
Btw. I did try the Firefox 118 beta and it seem that the redirection works OK without enabling secure all browsers.

It appears "the message is not getting across here."
It also appears no one has bothered to read the posted link Microsoft article which states;
No one is forcing anyone to upgrade their Win OS version. That said, it is imperative to apply the appropriate KB update depending on Win version. If you don't, you will find Microsoft Defender real-time protection running side-by-side with Eset's.

The effect of not installing the KB adding ACS support will be that after Dec 2023 ESET will not be able to update to newer versions and users won't be able to install our products again unless ACS support is added to the OS.

Yes the ESET Bridge or any standard proxy with the caching enabled.
Well the documentation stats what is supported for the HTTPS traffic caching, I admit that the behavior for http / macOS might be not that obvious from it 🙂 
It is stated as 
"•Cache and distribute updates to client computers and installation packages to ESET Management Agent."
I submitted an improvement request for the Docu team to make the info more easy to understand.

The licenses are not tight to a particular version.

On Android we do not scan application protocols like we do on Windows, ie. the application / scanner has no way to see the web content. In the future we plan to make a research on this if scanning network traffic and web content would be possible from technical point of view and without substantial adverse effects on system performance and battery.

There could be differences between x86 and x64 versions of Firefox. For me it didn't work with Firefox v116 x64 if I remember well. The current version of Firefox is 117 where redirection doesn't work. We have reported a bug to Mozilla which will be addressed in v118 in which redirection should work again with SAB turned off.

It's enough to update Windows 10 to update 21H2 or newer or install the appropriate update from https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/kb5022661-windows-support-for-the-azure-code-signing-program-4b505a31-fa1e-4ea6-85dd-6630229e8ef4.
According to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/announcements/windows-10-21h1-end-of-servicing, Windows 10 21H1 reached EOL on Dec 13, 2002.
Without ACS support, ESET won't be able to update to newer versions after Dec 2023.
The notification cannot be disabled in home products.

I already passed the feedback on changelogs to the Product management, they are responsible for the changelogs.

This is possible, you just have to add the address and port to the allowed list in config.

I'm checking it.
I can see 1.11.2882.0 in our EPC, which is the latest version available for macOS https://www.eset.com/int/business/download/inspect/#connector
I can see that the info on a different version for macOS is omitted in https://support.eset.com/en/news8467-eset-inspect-and-eset-inspect-cloud-hotfix-version-1-11-2882-have-been-released 😞 , I passed the report further and it has been fixed in the meantime.

Have you changed the Repository URL? 
If not, I would recommend to restart the ESET PROTECT service.
 
Already tracked. (note for us: G_WISH-4948) it has some prerequisites so it might take time to implement it...

Clicking the link will more information about the new version along with the appropriate changelog.
 

Just to avoid confusion, the pre-release update channel does not contain beta modules that we would be still working on but it's modules that have passed pre-release internal tests are ready for release. That said, those are regular modules that users on the pre-release update channel receive in the first round followed by the general public after a couple of days and are released typically in batches.
For beta testing we have the Insider program in which we make new versions available months before the final release. We would like to encourage and invite advanced users who use our products with non-default settings to join the Insider program.

No in this case, as for the macOS version the dev team needed to fix an issue so they incremented the version number for that fixed build. So this versions of EI server and connector are meant to be used together.
Generally in is recommended to upgrade the EI server first, later the connectors.

thank you for the feedback provided, I will pass it to the Product manager responsible.

We had about 7-8 servers that were experiencing this issue every few weeks (sometimes even more frequently) but since updating to the latest build the issue has not occurred in any of the servers.
