  1. No. This was asked 2 days ago during weekend and today is the first work day after the weekend. It's not matter of minutes to make changes to the program code, test it and release it. We are working on it and will let you know once an updated module has been released on pre-release update servers.
  2. Did you use a wrong topic name and you actually meant "Installing ESET Secure Authentication" or do you have any issues installing the ERA Server as well?
  3. Was that a fresh install or upgrade? At any rate, try running the Uninstall tool in safe mode and then installing ESET from scratch. Should the problem persist, we'll need a Procmon log created during an install attempt and fresh ELC logs.
  4. If you don't want any action to be taken at the end of the scan, select "No action" in the above screen.
  5. Simply ignore them. Even if you run a scan as an administrator, there will be plenty of files that are exclusively being used by the operating system so no application has access to them, be it a legitimate AV scanner or malware.
  6. I would check the list of installed applications and remove those that you don't 100% trust. It doesn't have to be necessarily malware, maybe it's just the ring sound played by an application for some reason.
  7. I don't think that excluding any files or folders in ESET would prevent possible clashes. When troubleshooting issues, the only way how to 100% confirm or rule out involvement of a particular sw in the issue is by temporarily uninstalling it.
  8. It's been tracked as bug/improvement. Anyways, I'd recommend anybody who considers disabling protocol filtering or HTTP scanning to watch the attached video to better understand that it's not a good idea to disable web scanning completely even if more web scanners are installed. Adguard_vs_ESET.rar
  9. MBAM with its real-time protection driver clashes with ESET. If you want to use it in tandem with ESET, use it as an offline scanner without its drivers being loaded. For troubleshooting, I'd recommend removing MBAM at least temporarily. The best would be if you could provide a complete memory dump from the point when the issue occurs by manually generating a crash as per https://support.eset.com/kb380.
  10. What kind of application is it? If it communicates with a specific server, it should be enough to exclude the IP address of the server.
  11. It looks like upgrade from an older version is failing. What version of ESET do you have currently installed? Should the problem persist, uninstall ESET and install the latest version from scratch.
  12. Please refer to my previous post: This is a known issue with Insider preview build 17704. We should have a solution soon.
  13. By the way, my understanding is that Adguard works only as a browser extension. Is that correct? In such case, it won't check the http(s) communication of other processes and therefore it cannot protect you completely from Internet-borne threats.
  14. I have v11.1.54 and it's not possible to disable this notification either.
  15. Not sure if it was ever possible to disable notifications about disabled protocol filtering in Application statuses. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend keeping the protocol filtering and http(s) scanning enabled no matter what other software you use. I don't think that any 3rd party software could protect you from 100% Internet-borne threats so that you could afford disabling this protection. Also since ESET products consist of modules that communicate with each other and may use information from other modules, it's another reason for not disabling it.
  16. HIPS, Anti-Stealth and firewall do not currently work with Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17704. We are currently working on making products compatible with this build and changes that Microsoft has made to the system.
  17. Now both \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\epfwwfpr.sys and \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\epfwwfp.sys are loaded for some reason which is not good. Please try the following: - uninstall EIS - run the Uninstall tool in safe mode - install EIS from scratch
  18. Since everything has been said, we'll draw this topic to a close. To sum it up: HIPS is a fundamental protection module whose outcome of processing is leveraged by Self-defense, Exploit Blocker, Advanced Memory Scanner and Ransomware Shield. Those who want to set up additional HIPS rules and accept certain level of false positives that custom rules may produce can create their own rules.
  19. If the security password you enter is not accepted, please carry on as per the instructions at https://help.eset.com/ems/4/en-US/antitheft_password.html.
  20. I don't understand. For scheduled on-demand scans you can allow/disallow users to pause and even cancel scans. We give admins an option to choose if users should be allowed to pause or cancel running scans. Of course, if you choose that the action cannot be canceled by the user then users won't be able to cancel it.
  21. Does installing v4.0.88 make a difference? At any rate, version 4.0.90 is going to be released by the beginning of next week. Do you mean that ESET detected false positives? If you are not sure about a particular detection, submit the file(s) to ESET for a re-check as per the instructions at https://support.eset.com/kb141.
  22. I've just installed EES on a computer with ERA agent installed. During the initial scan, a PUA was detected and cleaned automatically.
