  1. Please take a screen shot of the alert and post it here. Also collect logs with ESET Log Collector and post the generated archive.
  2. There are many system and other important files that don't have a digital signature. We've had Microsoft signatures whitelisted for a long time to prevent false positives and to improve scanning speed.
  3. EEI and EDTD are completely different products for different purposes so merging them just doesn't make sense. EDTD can be used by users who don't have EEI and vice-versa.
  4. Since this forum does not serve as a channel for disputing PUA detections (which is clearly stated in this forum's rules) we'll draw this topic to a close.
  5. Basically you don't need any additional AV besides ESET. You could use another AV(s) only as second opinion scanners, ie. without real-time protection and other features requiring installation of drivers. Moreover, I'm personally very skeptical and suspicious about anything with "super" in the name.
  6. On another machine create a bootable usb or dvd with Linux, e.g. ESET SysRescue. Boot into Linux and check if C:\Windows\System32\drivers\edevmon.sys exists. If not, copy it from "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Security\Drivers\edevmon" or from another machine with ESET installed. This is the only case that I know of when ESET would prevent booting to safe mode, e.g. if the driver was not flushed from disk cache prior to the reboot after installation or due to a disk error.
  7. You can create even more install tasks that you will assign to different dynamic groups for instance. A license (seat) is consumed only after activation which will be performed on clients just once so it won't depend on the number of install tasks.
  8. No, it's a business product and currently it's offered only for bigger customers.
  9. Any unknown files are submitted to EDTD. There are several categories of files that can be submitted and where the submission and retention can be controlled per category.
  10. I'm not sure if that would have adverse effect on system stability. Imagine that application or system updates would be blocked by ESET for several minutes; something that applications or the OS would not likely count with and which might result even in severe issues. I'm sure that it won't be enabled unless we are 100% sure such issues won't happen.
  11. Try temporarily changing logging verbosity from informative to diagnostic in the advanced setup -> tools - > log files, next open the list of running processes, then switch the verbosity back and post the recently generated records from the event log.
  12. No problems here. Maybe a firewall is blocking access to LiveGrid servers. Do you have LiveGrid enabled at all?
  13. EDTD shortens the response time to new threats to the bare minimum, typically 2-3 minutes. Even with LiveGrid the response may be slower, typically several minutes in case you encountered a brand new threat among the first. EDTD does not block processes while files are being analyzed by EDTD. However, mail security products may delay the delivery of email for a short time until results of analysis are received.
  14. It would take probably dozens of years for the engine to increase significantly. However, with technical advance and development also the limits change and the standard for hw configurations improves so a 100MB engine in let's say 5-10 years won't be a problem if an average amount of installed memory in office computers reaches 128 GB for instance.
  15. Immediate restart after a program update is strongly recommended. Otherwise older drivers will remain loaded when a new version of the program is already running which might cause issues if the system is left without a reboot for a longer time.
  16. There should be an error number ACT.something displayed in the activation window if activation fails for whatever reason. Please post a screen shot of what you see right after entering the license key and clicking "Activate".
  17. Please carry on as follows: - enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Details for technical support - reproduce the warning - disable logging - collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here (only moderators will be able to access it)
  18. What error message do you get when you enter your license key in the activation window?
  19. Please gather logs as per the instructions at https://support.eset.com/kb3404 and raise a support ticket for customer care.
  20. Are you still getting the warning message about untrusted certificate? I've tried to reproduce it to no avail. The certificate used by the server is valid and trusted, it's not revoked.
  21. ESET will not encrypt your email. If integrated into Outlook, you should see its icon there and right-clicking an email message should provide advanced options like as follows:
  22. Since there's nothing more to be added, we'll draw this topic to a close.
  23. Unfortunately you didn't provide url that the threat was detected on. I would not recommend pausing web access protection since the infection can be real and your computer could get infected.
  24. The Procmon log is unusable in the Excel format. Please save it as a genuine pml file. According to the video, it looks like the video player triggers Firefox or a function that uses it to check for a newer version.
