  1. Please pm me your public license ID as well as the device name as shown in the ELA portal.
  2. First of all, it's necessary to distinguish between active and unresolved threats. While active threats can be removed only by running an on-demand scan from ERA using the In-depth scan profile, threats must be currently resolved manually.
  3. If you have an older build of Endpoint v6.6 installed, please install the latest version 6.6.2052.0 which addresses an issue with deactivation.
  4. If somebody is able to reproduce this error at any time, please let us know. We'll need a log from a special version of Process Monitor for perusal.
  5. That's not necessary. Chrome Cleanup will not prevent anything from installation on user machine, as we don't include any system monitoring components in Chrome. Instead, the system will be scanned once a week and in case any of specific PUA families that violate Google policies are detected, they will be removed. However, this logic is on Google side and they can change it any time. The technology included in Chrome Cleanup is based on signature matching, emulation and unpacking of protected files. LiveGrid is not used and no data is submitted to ESET whatsoever.
  6. Chrome Cleanup is not interconnected with ESET's product but it's a separate feature that helps to clean potentially unwanted software regardless of whether ESET is installed or not.
  7. Do you have Endpoint v5 or v6 installed? Where do you see "127.0.0.1:2223 "the name of the machine here is the eset console":xxxxx" ? Does status.html show any issues?
  8. There's an ongoing discussion on this detection at https://forum.eset.com/topic/13073-jsmindsparke/, please continue with the discussion there. Basically you'll need to disable syncing of Chrome extensions to prevent the PUA from being continually downloaded and detected. Having said that, we'll draw this topic to a close.
  9. Technical support is exclusively provided by ESET staff. Never heard of US Global Tech but it sounds like a scam tech support service.

  12. The upcoming release of v10.1.23x and v11 will add compatibility with recent versions of Firefox. Normally compatibility is added via a module update but in this case the changes in Chrome were substantial and required changes to be made to the program itself.
  13. This could happen if you have diagnostic logging enabled or you have a rule in HIPS, firewall or Web Control created that logs too many records (e.g. every visited website, every operation blocked by HIPS, etc.). Please provide me with ELC logs as well as with a Procmon boot log as per https://support.eset.com/kb6308.

  15. Since this is an English forum, we kindly ask you to post in English. Otherwise hardly anyone will understand you and will not be able to advise you. If you do not speak English, please contact your local Customer care.
  16. Momentarily I'll provide you with further instructions for troubleshooting the issue. I've come across this error once and never again. If the issue is occurring on more computers, does switching to pre-release updates in the advanced setup make a difference?
  17. Please provide me with your public license ID and also contact your local distributor. In our country, we sell bundles of ESET Endpoint and ESET File Security licenses but it may be different in other countries. I assume that it shouldn't be a problem for a distributor to convert a particular Endpoint license to a bundle.
  18. Do you mean that scheduled scans do not run at all and no on-demand scan logs appear on clients? Or the issue is with the time when scheduled on-demand scans are run?
  19. To start off, please collect logs with ELC and supply me with the generated archive. If too big to attach, upload it to a safe location and pm me a download link.
  20. You can only exclude particular applications from being monitored for modifications in the advanced firewall -> Application modification detection setup. By default trusted (signed) applications are not monitored.
  21. Open the advanced setup, navigate to Antivirus -> Removable media and make sure that "Show scan options" is selected. If you have "Automatic device scan" selected, removable media will be scanned automatically when you insert or attach them to your computer.
  22. If you've installed ESET using the Live Installer (a small executable file), collect logs with ELC, upload them to a safe location and pm me a download link.
  23. If you check client details, is the time of the last agent connection updating? If not, check status.html and trace.log on the client for details about possible issues.
  24. The flashing command prompt window will not appear at all in upcoming versions of our products.
  25. Couldn't it be that you've installed ESET Smart Security Premium which is a premium product with extra features, such as disk encryption and password manager? If so, uninstall it and download / install ESET Internet Security.
