Unable to update ERA Agent details in ERA V.6.3 web console.

Hi ESET,

 

  I have install ERA V.6.3 on Ubuntu 16.4 LTS, but Unable to show ERA Agent details in ERA V.6.3 web console.

 

found error in ERA Server log.

 

Error: CCleanupModule [Thread 7f9169ffb700]: [MySQL][ODBC 5.3(a) Driver][mysqld-5.7.12-0ubuntu1]Expression #1 of SELECT list is not in GROUP BY clause and contains nonaggregated column 'era_db.a.SourceUuid_id' which is not functionally dependent on columns in GROUP BY clause; this is incompatible with sql_mode=only_full_group_by

 

so find attached logs & check issue and also how to install libmyodbc in Ubuntu 16.4 LTS?

Hello,

 

this kind of errors is caused by MySQL 5.7 which introduced changes ERA is not compatible with (ERA 6.3 was released before). We have fixed this issues for upcoming release. In the meantime easiest solutions is to use MySQL 5.6 instead. Alternatively you could try to configure MySQL 5.7 not not use mentioned sql_mode, but we have reports that it is not possible every-time (especially with linux installations).

 

Regarding MySQL driver installation on Ubuntu, it is much more complicated since current release -> you could try to find some custom packages, or use official MySQL driver, which will work correctly, but installation procedure is not easy.
