Kosd 0 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Why can't I post? I have some legitimate questions that I'm looking for answers too. Can some Mod please aprove me... this is kind of rediculous I've been trying to get some answers for 2 days now and I can't post without mods approving me first.
Former ESET Employees dwomack 161 Posted December 9, 2015 Former ESET Employees Posted December 9, 2015 Our apologies for the delay in approving your posts. I'll get that taken care of now and answer what I can.
BrianA_MN 1 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I too have been attempting to post questions in Antivirus for Linux forum and nothing is posting or being answered. Is there a problem?
ESET Moderators TomasP 319 Posted January 21, 2016 ESET Moderators Posted January 21, 2016 Hi BrianA_MN, New users first need to be manually approved by moderators. You have now been approved and can post. Thanks for your understanding. T.
rugk 397 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 New users first need to be manually approved by moderators. Why is that? Previously you just had to confirm your mail. Or is the mail verification still broken?
SweX 871 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 New users first need to be manually approved by moderators. Why is that? Previously you just had to confirm your mail. Or is the mail verification still broken? To counter spammers is one reason. But its not 100% effective as we have seen lately when some spam slipped through, but I would say that it's better to use this method than not use anything at all.
mr.raccoon 0 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I would be more than happy to be part of forum discussions too, could i be approved please?
ESET Moderators TomasP 319 Posted March 22, 2016 ESET Moderators Posted March 22, 2016 Hello mr.raccoon, you are now approved too.
gwebstolyna 0 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Post must be approved before it is shown. I think this rule blocks a lot of spam. Reasonable
simplepinoi177 0 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 How long does it typically take for a moderator to approve a post? I started a thread asking for help on an issue (google chrome crashing because HIPS), and it's been 5 hours... If it usually takes 24 hours, then I will wait. I would just like to have an idea how long to wait and when I should inquire about it. Thank you.
ESET Moderators TomasP 319 Posted May 13, 2016 ESET Moderators Posted May 13, 2016 Hello simplepinoi177, you are now approved.
sue 0 Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I cannot post also, having to pause my protection due to printer spooling. How long does it take to be approved? I have confirmed in email. Thanks
ESET Moderators TomasP 319 Posted May 18, 2016 ESET Moderators Posted May 18, 2016 Hello sue, you are now approved.
azi 0 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Hi, please approve my first two posts. It may help ESET to get the slow downloads of signatures fixed. Thanks Thorsten
ESET Moderators TomasP 319 Posted May 26, 2016 ESET Moderators Posted May 26, 2016 Hello azi, you are now approved. As for the download speeds, we are looking into it with high priority. T.
azi 0 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Hi Tomas, thanks for approving my account. Today it seems as fast as normal. I fixed my post and attached the WinMTR screenshots from last week where it was slow here. Please see https://forum.eset.com/topic/8507-virus-signature-update-is-slow-or-unavailable/#entry45147 Thorsten

MapleLane 0 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Hello Moderators, I am a new Forum Member. I have ESET security on all desktops and laptops in my small business set-up- 5 units in total. I set up a profile at my.eset.com, from which I downloaded and purchased various security programs. The login and password are not being recognized, and my requests to change the password has not resulted in the sending of the password changing links. I have set up a new profile, but cannot merge these accounts, from my viewing of the profile. I need to add security to a new desktop, and cannot access my current user key which should cover this desktop. Can you assist? I have also tried the free scan for this desktop from the website, and it will not download to the desktop- I think we are battling a virus as the user of the desktop did not allow the McAfee that came with it to be enabled, but has had no security for 3 months! Really need ESEt NOD32 on that desktop. Hoping I can be approved, or replied to soon- Many thanks! Maple Lane
