Administrators Marcos 5,241 Posted July 26, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 26, 2015 If you upgrade from an older build of Windows 10 where v9 was already activated, it should work just fine after upgrade to the RTM build 10240. Stand-alone installers will be updated with current modules before July 29.

Upgrade from previous version? Clean install? Did you have any previous v9 beta build installed?
jcd2150 0
It was an update from a previous version where ESET couldn't be activated either. Had to uninstall the beta version because it blocked all internet access. So no installed version right before this try. I'll look if I find remnants of the old installation in the registry or files. Edit: Found some registry keys that seemed to tie into firewall settings. Have deleted them and installed ESET again but the problem persists.... (Yes I restarted after deleting the keys) Edited July 27, 2015 by jcd2150
ilmara 0
Hello, Same problem, previous version could not be activated and blocked all Internet access, uninstalled. I tried the new build, activation is ok but "Network protection" remains red (even after reboot) and if I enable filtering mode (either automatic or interactive) all access are blocked. Still unusable unfortunately.
d4niel_p 0
In my case firewall service was also not starting so I've used ESET Uninstaller hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2289 and reinstalled ESS after that (You have to use Win8 method to boot to safe mode). It fixed the problem for me.
