GrantMG 0 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I have a laptop that no longer operates. I want to remove the license from that laptop. It will be installed on the replacement device. How can this be done?
BaldNerd 3 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Hi @GrantMG Is this a consumer (home) product, or a business product? If it is a business product, is it administered by an ESMC / ERA server, or just standalone?
BaldNerd 3 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 You're assuming he has a home product, @Marcos. Need more info to answer. I disagree about it not being necessary since the license server keeps track of how many devices are using the license and a user must be licensed for each (regardless of whether it is on/connected or not).
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted October 7, 2019 ESET Staff Posted October 7, 2019 @GrantMG If you have a "dead seat", you can remove it using either ESET Lciense Administrator or ESET Business account. Just search for a particular computer in the list (you can sort by the last connected time). The same functionality is available for home products, inside my.eset.com portal.
GrantMG 0 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Thanks Michalj, how do I find the ESET license administrator or account settings. really having trouble locating this.
