ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 1,130 Posted September 11, 2018 ESET Moderators Share Posted September 11, 2018 Hello @MarcFL, I shouldn't tell you the exact day, until the version is out, but some gossip is, that it should be in less than 24 hours :-) Regards, P.R. ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 1,130 Posted September 11, 2018 ESET Moderators Share Posted September 11, 2018 Hello guys, sorry for the confusion, the plan for release stands, but a colleague told me, that the this should be fixed in the next service release after this one,... MarcFL 26
FYI, It's been 2 months since the bug was reported.
ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 1,130 Posted September 12, 2018 ESET Moderators Share Posted September 12, 2018 The fix should be available in the next service release as mentioned. We didn't want to push too much changes now as it might affect stability of the product and this feature is considered to be a minor one for home users,... MarcFL 26
MANY small and home businesses use Eset "home". Why? Because they don't want to spend up to 4x the cost. Your "home office" starts at 5 endpoints for $165. Not practical for a home office consisting of 1 or 2 PCs or a small business with 4 to 10 PCs. So, the conclusion is that Eset Home is NOT just for "home users". Perhaps you should have a true small or home office version. Right now, you don't. So the "home" version is considered for use by small and "home office" users. This is the reality of your home and business models. wolliballa 4
My Customer is also still waiting for a resolution for this ennoying problem still present under 11.2.63.0 after more than three module updates Customer site has running about 15 clients, we had to modify email reporting down to 2 most critical clients which would like to watch continuosly, but this is not the solution to delete unnecessary messages everyday which certainly are duplicated to supervisors smartphones. And again: there are quite some reasons, why professional sites ( not 'home') prefer the basic 1:1 NOD32 protection. Cost efficieny, low managent effort, no separate supervision module, quick, fast .....

MarcFL 26
Eset v12 Released - fixing the issue: https://support.eset.com/news7047/ You can update by clicking on the Eset Icon in your tray, then select Update, Check For Updates and finally Update Now. You'll need to reboot after the update. Then turn email notifications back on if you turned them off due to the bug (Advanced Setup, Tools, Email Notifications).
