  1. That would be my guess. I have the same problem. Eventually it goes away (for me at least).
  2. It may be mentioned on this forum but does anyone know the approximate date when V9 will be released to the rest of the world? Yes, I am spineless.
  3. Anyone have an idea when version 9 is released? Dying to look at it. Nope, not gonna run the beta.
  4. Can't tell if it is close or far away. Would like a REAL date, Would love to know. Thanks
  5. I guess ESET is asleep, so no answer to your question. Can't wait to use NOD32 on Windows 10. Right now I'm using Windows defender because I am staying away with nonMicrosoft programs as much as I can until the 29th or later. Been with 10 since the beginning.
  6. Thank you SweX. I have two concerns which is why I asked. The first is my miserably small data allowance and the second is recreating all the rules I have. I appreciate your time to respond. I will be going for the beta on my new computer, the other will be fine till Eset SS is out of beta. I have always installed the update over the current version with no problems. Of course, there is always the exception but I have not had one YET. I have several computers and I am very lazy.
  7. Thanks for all of the information. For the first time in recent versions I have not installed a beta. Now I know what to do as far as uninstall is concerned. .
  8. Finally, I caved in and I activated an 1year / 3 devices license before expiration and I lost 13 days. Honestly I do not think anyone is listening on this forum for members suggestions: this is still "unfixed" Oh yeah ? Well, you're wrong. Because you see, they do actually listen..... eset.JPG Gee, that's old. Is that just for ESET Smart Security? Glad that they listen or read.... It is a screenshot from the Advanced Setup section in the ESS V9 Beta, I assume these options are available in both NOD32 and ESS. I only Beta test the ESS V9 Beta at the moment so I can't say what it looks like in NOD32, sorry. Though I am pretty sure they are the same, only that NOD32 may have a few less checkboxes than ESS in that list. OK, that's good SweX I guess they DO listen.

  10. Finally, I caved in and I activated an 1year / 3 devices license before expiration and I lost 13 days. Honestly I do not think anyone is listening on this forum for members suggestions: this is still "unfixed" as well as the option to "Activate your product...." still present in your Right click on tray icon, even though your product is already activated. The latest was mentioned by myself more than a year ago.... Very good point.
  11. Well, I finally activated my NOD32 with the 2013 info for three computers, No problem although the message said it was a downloaded version which it wasn't. No problem, of course. New one expires June 5, 2016.
  12. Yep, so put up with the messages until the due date. My renewal is 6/6/2015.
  13. I've updated all 4 of my Windows 7 computers. Seems to be fine. Thanks to siljaline.
  14. Is there really a rumor going around? I have seen nothing.
  15. 45? I have socks your age.
  16. It's called business and the pursuit of happiness (making money). I am old enough to know better and get very weary of reading about test results which most likely are skewed (for whatever reason) this way or that way 95% of the time. What I do know is how my daily experience feels. ESET fulfills my expectations (for years) without me having to know everything and be an expert (at everything). Not worrying is a good thing. Could not agree more. Yup-us old retired dudes (and dudettes) have to stick together~! VERY true.

  18. Hmm, I'm glad I swore a blood oath not to install NOD32 until Windows 10 is released officially. Long story.
  19. I am using Windows Defender on Windows 10 only. It seems to be working fine. I know it should work fine, but I prefer to give use to my 2-year NOD32 license. Thank you. I agree. Looks like your troubles are over.
