  1. Not tried the password manager but have you checked permissions and battery settings as they seem to be one of the biggest issues phone related. https://dontkillmyapp.com/ is a good side to check battery settings
  2. Maybe red should be for cleaned and uncleaned to make it easier or a separate colour?
  3. I'm just curious why it wasn't classes as potentially unsafe in the first place as it seems it could have been used maliciously
  4. The password manager is available on desktop via browser extensions and for mobile via a separate app which I will link bellow. The old password manager was built directly into Eset but isn't anymore. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://play.google.com/store/apps/details%3Fid%3Dcom.eset.password.manager%26hl%3Den_IN%26gl%3DUS%26referrer%3Dutm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Deset%2Bpassword%2Bmanager%26pcampaignid%3DAPPU_1_wl-3YonIKJmO8gK4gYb4BA&ved=2ahUKEwiJscCHqcn4AhUZh1wKHbiAAU8Q5YQBegQIAxAC&usg=AOvVaw1t48dEVM8-r8gGH70xNRsf
  5. As itman mentioned If you do use cracked software I'd avoid it from now on as a lot of infections come from dodgy websites and cracks.
  6. Yeah the VB thing was odd as they always went on about how they had the best VB results. I suppose it's cheaper to have just one set of products reviewed rather than consumer and commercial although I'd love to see the savings made go into product development
  7. Please post in English. It seems like you are waiting for your license key. Have you checked your junk folder and can you confirm that the transaction went through? You could try to recover at https://www.eset.com/int/support/lost-license/#:~:text=If you have lost or,shortly after submitting your request.
  8. If it is getting blocked you could also try Eset's Firewall troubleshoot wizard and if it is blocking it you can unblock it from the wizard
  9. I would also add that nothing can ever be 100 percent, so it is always good to take things into your own hands.
  10. One thing I will add is I've seen mods ask people why they use eset when they question the product. Personally I find this a bit of a bad practise. I know the mods on here aren't actually responsible directly for product development and not every feature people ask for can be implemented, but if quite a few users are asking for something then maybe there's a reason. Surely any AV vendor is going to want to make their product as good as possible. This is also why I find it strange that some features aren't considered because they could be bypassed but anything could be bypassed. By this way of thinking a virus could bypass an AV so why have an AV. Just to add I do hope no one eset wise takes this personally. I have no plans of stopping using eset and they have been good to me, I just want it to be the best it can be
  11. Like Marcos has mentioned, if a website is blocked there is normally a reason. You could share the logs and stuff as I've never heard it detect windows defender as a Trojan either
  12. I don't think anyone will be able to provide you a solution on here as this forum is not a general computer form but for customers of Eset. Your best bet would be trying something like the bleeping computer technical support forum or something similar. There are also Reddit it support groups
  13. Yeah it is interesting when you look at some of the apparent top ones, based on blocking. NortonLifeLock blocked 100 percent of stuff but had 50 false positives. In relation Eset blocked 99 percent of stuff but had no false positives. I've always said I'd like eset to add new features that competitors have but at the end of the day there's always a risk if you make an AV too aggressive. A false positive might seem like nothing but what if it was a system file or linked to a key application that a business relied on
  14. Did you just uninstal the product in safe mode or did you use the eset uninstaller tool Marcos gave above. Uninstalling via the normal windows method sometimes can leave traces while using the uninstall special tool is designed to remove all traces https://support.eset.com/en/kb2289-uninstall-eset-manually-using-the-eset-uninstaller-tool
  15. The problem is that they could try on many computers and this is still not enough. When you consider how many different combinations of software and hardware exist it isn't hard to understand why some issues get missed
  16. I would say that that some of the features like the cleaner are not related to an AV. There seems to be a lot of AVs that do more than security like removing uneeded files, startup manager etc. Many people believe an AV should focus on being a security product and not a fits all product e.g. a system cleaner and so on. As mentioned above as backdoors tend to be malware it will fall under malware and not have a separate part in the program. Some AVs might mention it as a marketing tactic. I will add I do think Eset should offer something similar to Kaspersky's snapshot feature. Even if it doesn't always work, something that could rollback changes by ransomware is always going to be well received even if it doesn't work everytime. I presume there are no plans for this currently @Marcos
  17. Must be because some countries with poor network infrastructure still use dialup
  18. Yeah. From what I can gather it is the recommended thing but if your using it in a business environment it could cause potential issues. From what I can remember, eset uses the pre release to fix issues but they need people to use it to see if it works but also if there are any issues. If people don't use it, I gather they could potentially release something stable that could be buggy
  19. Are you saying why is there a dial up option? I still feel that the question is not translating the best. If so my answer above is my guess
  20. The confusing thing is as far as I can remember @Marcosand other Eset mods recommend most people to have pre release always enabled but the website says the opposite.
  21. Are you talking about the dial up feature and why it is used. I'd recommend posting the question again in English as translating it it is not fully making sense. I presume the dialup option is for people with bad internet connections if that is the question but again I'm not sure what your question is as it got lost in translation
  22. Translated your original post but don't think it translated well. What feature request where you trying to make? Does it block YouTube ads as I couldn't see anything online and not sure if Eset could run into legal issues. That being said it's just a browser extension. It would be interesting if Eset went into this direction as it could work well alongside the AV but a lot of users prefer to just use general ad blockers and have the AV deal with the malware side. I did notice that the malwarebytes one does protects users from scams, malware etc. But I presume this is just the same as Esets web protection
  23. Do you have phantom account enabled? As my Eset version is on a desktop PC I don't use the anti theft feature but I do know when it is turned on it creates a fake account. I believe when you mark your laptop as missing and they log into that fake account, eset will be able to get location information and also takes things like screenshots.. I presume if a user thinks they can't get on they will try and wipe the device so this account tricks them and means you can get the location data
