All I want are two basic things:
- More fluid and faster graphical interface as it was in the older versions like v14 and v15 (nowadays the performance of the graphical interface of the main window has dropped mainly).
- More simplified purchasing plans (subscriptions) as it used to be like NOD32, EIS AND ESSP (simple, direct and objective) (today it's a bit confusing)
- That it remains as it always was (without bloatware and unnecessary items)

Had to disable it since it was trashing my IPv6 connection.

There are mixed multiple layers and features, to clarify them:
ESET Browser Privacy & Security = browser extension with privacy and security features for visited websites and user data/settings Safe Banking & Browsing = protected browser that allows you to run isolated browser instance from desktop shortcut, or protect existing browser when Secure all browsers setting is On Regarding to blocked file, wait 1-2 days for ESSP 17.1 update where you will have a possibility to manually allow blocked file on your own. When you trust your vendor that inject that file to your browser, you will be able to allow it. Of course such action may brings browser unstability, but when something goes wrong, you will know what products are in conflict, how did you do that and how to restore it back.

This is expected. Scanning the registry takes long. The information about the path is informative, it should show the last path that was scanned. Startup scans run after a module update and when the system starts are faster as they scan only autostart registry locations.
Please switch to the pre-release update channel in the advanced setup to upgrade your ESET to v17.1.9 which has this fixed.

I assume that virtually no AV can scan QUIC. It's been experimental for a long time. As I have already mentioned, HTTP/3 will be supported as of v17.1.

Your posted screen shot shows you have DNS over HTTPS enabled.
Edge refers to DNS over HTTPS as "secure DNS." You also have "Use current service provider" enabled. You stated that you are using Cloudflare as your Windows DNS servers; i.e. current service provider. Therefore, you are using Cloudflare as your DNS over HTTPS provider.
Disable the "Use secure DNS" setting; close and reopen Edge; and retest. Eset should alert and block access to this malicious web site every time

I think Learning Mode is more designed to be used with Interactive Mode
You let the firewall learn the machine for a while and then you switch to Interactive Mode , in that case you will have to manually allow/block traffic to unlearned apps after that.
And learning mode will put apps and traffic that it learned and allow them or block them(it could block maybe idk), after that you can also look at the list and remove unwanted rules if the software added something you don't want
but if you are looking to use Automatic Mode , then keep it Automatic

Updates are usually very small. For instance, the last engine update was 9kB in size for those who update regularly, 12kB for those who missed 1 update, 18kB who missed 3, etc.  Other module updates are usually smaller than 1 MB with rare exceptions.
If you are experiencing download speed issues, try using a different Internet connection or provider. I've just made a test an downloaded all modules with the total size of 206 MB in about 20s.

I'm sorry if my instructions were confusing, will try to re-phrase it:
1, Install ESET v17.0.16 from scratch
2, Disable automatic activation of gamer mode for applications running in full-screen mode as shown above
3, Switch to interactive firewall mode and try to reproduce the issue.
If you are able to reproduce it:
1, Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here. Also provide step-by-step instructions how we can reproduce it on our end.
2, Raise a support ticket and supply technical support with ELC logs for a start.

It means that the Eset previous feature which auto detected Eset predefined financial web sites and opened a new browser window in Banking & Payment Protection mode has been eliminated. This processing was the case in previous Eset versions when the Secured all browsers option is disabled.
Current Eset release options are either enable Secure all browsers option, or manually open a Banking & Payment Protection mode browser session via Win desktop Eset B&PP icon.

Browser protection module 1335 addressing the issue with Sandboxie is now available on the pre-release update channel. We welcome your feedback.

Honestly it is not fair to blame ESET if you purchase a license from an unauthorized seller who sells licenses to several users for instance and the licenses are then canceled. The solution is to ask for a refund and purchase one from an authorized distributor or reseller.

Cleaner 1245 is currently on the pre-release update channel. We'll continue with the release once the Antivirus and antispyware module 1605.2 with a workaround for the issue has been received by all users.

We'll need to release the Antivirus and antispyware module 1605.2 to all users first (most likely within a week) and then we'll continue with the release of the Cleaner module 1245.

Pre release often contains fixes to issues that they put on the pre release server first to confirm it works before going final.
Eset recommends using this unless on a work machine. A fix for what sounds like your issue has been put on the pre release server and will eventually go onto the main public one 

Fix is released on all update channels so there is no need to change settings. If you have a problem after module update, please restart (all running) browsers or PC, if browser restart doesn't work. Otherwise let us know that issue still persist, ideally with ELC log from affected PC.

for the moment even the "new" product is still the old one...
I've trialed a couple of customers but they all get the old software with a new installer...
kind of hard to see why there was a need to change it all...
all those new names , boxes , marketing materials for just a change in how you obtain the software ?
i'm waiting for the first customer asking me why he bought eset home essential but has eset internet security on his install...

I'm not sure if it's still relevant for you, but mentioned module with fix was fully released

V17 has been released worldwide, however, automatic update is currently available only for those who update from the pre-release update channel, however, you can also upgrade to it using the installer from the website.
The issue you are referring to was caused by the fact that upgrade was initially allowed only on systems without Azure Code Signing support. This was fixed and if you attempted to update from the pre-release update channel now, older versions on non-ACS enabled systems would not upgrade to v17.
While we're still working on resolving an issue with a subscription validation notification in gui that affects some users who have upgraded, it can be fixed by deactivating the product from ESET HOME and re-activating it. Once this has been fixed on the backend, we'll enable staggered product updates to v17 again.

Yes, the Banking Payment and Protection module 1331 that addresses the issue is going to be fully released on the regular update channel within an hour.
