for the moment even the "new" product is still the old one... I've trialed a couple of customers but they all get the old software with a new installer... kind of hard to see why there was a need to change it all... all those new names , boxes , marketing materials for just a change in how you obtain the software ? i'm waiting for the first customer asking me why he bought eset home essential but has eset internet security on his install...

One of my msp customers has a weird issue. There is 1 seat in use and only one install made. A while back they upgraded from win 10 to 11 that caused the seat to "double". I found the "double" unit and dumped it from the list. There is now one unit in use and only one unit that is showing up in the protect cloud. The msp administrator panel however is still showing overuse despite all details only showing 1 unit... I must be missing something here but how could it be possible to 'overuse' a license while all panels ( msp admin and protect cloud ) only show that one unit ?

Not sure if the local team is able to really support in this matter. The "heavy system load slowdown" messages have come up less and less but overall the workflow is still quite sluggish. Just got a new docsis modem up and running that seems to have eased the issue a bit more but it's far from quick. The company will be getting a synced fiber optics line later this year , that might also speed things up a little bit more.

It would be nice to manage the product in a more swiftly manner. The msp portal has been "busy" for months now.. Kind of frustrating on a 1gbps synced fiber optic line... The regional office has told me that they would pass on the news but the portal remains very sluggish.. It looks as if way to many users are using a limited amount of servers ?

Uninstalling EIS did fix the issue indeed so the issues must be with EIS... What i just dont understand is that adding all executables and folders ( rock* social , rock* games launcher and the gtav folder ) to both firewall and HIPS doesnt fix this. Something else must connect and get blocked but i cant find out what that is. It could be the H2 update of win 11 that messed this up or one of the EIS updates , it used to work absolutely fine with no need to add rules or turn off protection.

There was another topic about this but it was quite old and closed off , new try here. I purchased gta-v thru the epic store and used it for a long time up to a couple of months before. Since a new update came out i wanted to continue the game again. Launched the epic store ; was able to install the update but then i got stuck. After a long wait the game does launch but keeps on telling me that i'm offline. I tried absolutely anything ; added firewall rules ( did not need to in the past.. ) , switched the firewall on/off , tried the gamer mode.. nothing fully works... In some cases i can get a bit further in the processes but i'm totally unable to get the game to launch online. Out of curiousity i tried de-installing EIS and voilla ; everything works like a charm... I'm sure i've missed something but i'm totally unsure how and what. Running windows 11 pro 22h2 fully up to date and the latest version of EIS.

The issue seems to be resolved I just tested it and indeed i can up the quantity above the 25 seats level

Seems to be back but i got a lot of issues... Old trial customers that suddenly got back...

I got this weird issues within msp that doesnt make any sense but i might have missed something ; ) When setting up a new customer i can choose how many seats i would like to use ( up to 999 ) and that works like a charm ; ) However... when a existing customer wants to expand their licence there is a limit of 25 seats ? It's not something that comes up weekly but it's just a weird feeling when it happend to one of my customers. Esspecially because i can't "add" and extra licence of the same product ( can add other products.. ) For now i have "fixed" the issues by creating a 'customer-2' entry and added the "excess" above 25 seats there. Is it a known bug or am i missing something here ?

Kind of hard to sell this to my customer that i have just enrolled and is having issues... Planned downtime is one thing ; adding multiple hours to the "window" is not a good look... Not just for eset but also for partners that are selling the product...

Just got of the phone with my local eset office. "we are aware of the issue but last night we updated the offline installer , that should work.. " Just installed that one ( 10.1.204.1 ) onto a fresh 1703 install , didn't want to reboot after installing it , forced a reboot. Agreed , the system is not stuck but now nod32 has the "waiting to register with windows security center" message on the home screen... Update : needed another reboot to get clear of that message.. so far so good..
