    I can confirm that EEA/EES 6 for macOS does not have the EI/EEI licensing module implemented.

    we are in contact with the Microsoft regarding this, I hope we will be able to address it together.
    During the December we were under an impression that it is a one time issue, sadly it is not.
    I agree it is an serious issue, especially for the machines which are not managed i.e. the error is not reported to a central management console...

    the installation binaries are the same in US, EU and word-wide.

    The downloads are being load-balanced, if someone wants to download from a specific server, advanced download tools like cURL needs to be used.

    I assume that they speak of a version activated by a license issued by ESET US as support is being provided by an ESET partner, which sold you the product i.e. issued the license for you...

    As you mentioned multiple issues / observations/ let's try to tackle them one by one to keep an overview.

    We tried to reproduce it in-house and the eicar.com, eicar.com.txt and eicar_com.zip detections were working.
    Issue with the  eicarcom2.zip might be that real-time protection may not scan archives / scan the only to certain level of nesting, due to performance reasons.

  8. So I recommend to monitor the application of the Windows patches more closely than usually.

    As mentioned above, the performance seems to be the key so if possible, make sure that the servers have enough processing power when the restart to apply the patches is to come.

    The status of ESET security solution is being reported to the management console, so if it fails to start on some of the servers the restart after few minutes of run will resolve it.

    I reproduced in with my ESSP BETA version. The colors are bit different there, but not O.K. too.

    I submitted a case for the devs to check it. (P_ESSW-15934)

    thank you for your reports.

    Can you please provide us with 1. Process monitor log from the boot time with advanced output enabled capturing events in the system during a boot, when the issue manifests and 2. output from the ESET Log Collector took afterwards?

  11. Hello @MrZork,

    ESET has download servers located in datacenters in USA and EU. The download requests are being served based on GEO IP and load-balancing rules. So if the servers in USA are not overloaded, download requests from Americas and close regions should head there. The files served from USA and EU servers are the same.

    You ESET copy will work word-wide.
    Restrictions might be in place for the product activation based on the origin of the license batch.
