  1. It is necessary to narrow it down to a particular setting or driver so please try disabling various protection modules as suggested. What about temporarily disabling scanning of advanced browser scripts in the web access protection setup?
  2. Please try this: https://www.eset.com/int/support/lost-license/
  3. It appears that you have created a duplicate user profile in the forum which is against this forum's rules. Please drop me a private message if we should we cancel the second one and adjust some information in your former profile. As to your question, it doesn't matter. If disabling both doesn't make any difference, then neither disabling them one by one wouldn't.
  4. Does temporarily disabling real-time protection make a difference? If not, what about disabling HIPS and rebooting the machine? You can also try temporarily disabling advanced scanning of browser scripts in the Web access protection setup.
  5. Unfortunately it's not clear what driver caused the crash. We'd need another dump with verifier enabled. Please carry on as follows: 1, Run cmd as an administrator and the following command: verifier /standard /all 3, Reboot the machine. 4, Reproduce BSOD. 5, Disable verifier by running the following command as an administrator: verifier /reset 6, Reboot the machine. 7, Compress the new dump and provide it to me for analysis.
  6. The answer is very simple - only one AV protection can be installed and running at a time. Only multiple on-demand scanners can be installed, ie. security software without any drivers since they would most likely clash with existing AV drivers.
  7. If you enabled Anti-Theft and performed a test or marked the device as missing, a phantom account is created. It allows login without password to a restricted account.
  8. Hello, Some distributors may have their own forums in their local language but I'm not sure if there's a German forum, however. In ESET HQ we don't have moderators, developers or product managers who could respond in multiple languages. English is a universal language that most users understand. If your English is not good enough, you can use an online translator.
  9. 1, Unfortunately, this is a very vague description which doesn't say anything about what features / options you are missing. 2, I don't think there's any software that would perform optical recognition of images. And blocking images just based on the full url is simply impossible because of the infinite number of images on the Internet or thousands of new images taken by cameras every second that can be uploaded to the Internet at any time. Not to mention that optical recognition of images in real-time would substantially slow down browsing.
  10. Did you install ESET Online Scanner or a trial version of another product? Normally the product should uninstall completely. Also I would appreciate letting us know why you are uninstalling ESET. You merely wanted to fix the above mentioned issue and now you're returning to your AV that you may have a license for?
  11. Unfortunately your description is too vague, we even don't know if they are threat alerts or some kind of notifications that you keep getting. Please provide a couple of recent records from the appropriate ESET log (copy the entire rows please).
  12. You can exclude specific file extensions from scanning in the ThreatSense setup for a particular scanner, e.g. real-time protection. However, we would like to hear more about what problem you are trying to solve since log files should not be scanned at all.
  13. Please post information about the version of the server and console from the About window in the ERA console.
  14. Web access protection works regardless of the browser you use. Anti-phishing is just an extension of the url blacklist by additional urls classified as phishing. Only Anti-Phishing on mobile phones with Android requires explicit support for particular browsers. Waterfox is not supported to my best knowledge.
  15. You mentioned ESET Remote Administrator, however, I assume you have the latest version of ESET Security Management Center installed. Could you confirm? Do you have Java SE 8 or JDK / OpenJDK 11.0.1 installed?
  16. The HIPS log is empty, no operations were blocked by HIPS / Self-defense.
  17. We have ESET Cloud Administrator for SMB users and ESET Security Management Center for enterprise users. As for home users, it's possible that we'll enable partial management of certain settings via web in the future but that's not planned to be done any time soon to my best knowledge.
  18. It was fixed in the Antivirus and antispyware module 1553. You can download it even now by switching the update channel to pre-release updates in the advanced update setup. We'll start releasing it gradually in batches to all users as of the next week.
  19. Could you please clarify why it's not possible?
  20. I've checked the logs but didn't find any issues. The event log is error free and the debug log showed that we always received files that we attempted to download; all attempts ended with 200 OK. In order to troubleshoot complex issues, please contact customer care so that a regular support ticket is created that will be tracked to ensure that you receive a timely and accurate response.
  21. This behavior is normal. If you press Shift+Esc in Chrome, the Chrome task manager will open. It shows more processes than the number of open tabs, however the number of the processes is not exactly same as the number of processes seen in the system Task manager.
  22. Do you have the latest version of EAV v12.1.34 installed? If so, try switching to pre-release updates in the advanced update setup and see if it makes a difference. Should the problem persist, please open a ticket for your local customer care and provide: - logs collected with ESET Log Collector - 2 sets of Wireshark logs; one with protocol filtering enabled while reproducing the issue and the other one with protocol filtering disabled so that we can compare them.
  23. Are you looking for protection for Windows or Linux? For Windows we have ESET Internet Security and ESET Smart Security Premium (which is basically EIS with disk encryption and password manager added). Both will protect you at various layers in the system as described at https://www.eset.com/int/about/technology/. You can download EIS from https://www.eset.com/int/home/internet-security/download/. For Linux we have ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux desktop. It can be downloaded from https://www.eset.com/int/home/antivirus-linux/.
  24. A weird thing is that version 10.2.240.0 was never released. Please provide a screen shot of the main gui -> Help and support. Alternatively you can copy / paste information from the "Details for customer care" window. In order to downgrade to v9, download a v9 installer from https://support.eset.com/kb2885/, uninstall v10, reboot the machine and then install v9.
