  1. I reckon the new version should have the option to pause/resume protection in the tray menu and also gamer mode notifications should be fixed besides other improvements and fixes under the hood.
  2. You can put documents to a specific folder and create a HIPS rule that will have write enabled only for a particular Office application. As for protected folders that Windows 10 will introduce, my understanding is that it will be prone to injections so even the HIPS rule may not protect well if ransomware injects into word.exe for instance. This is one of the reasons why the anti-ransomware feature is not based on simple HIPS rules but it's a complex functionality under the hood that monitors process behavior to evaluate if a particular write operation is malicious or not.
  3. Please understand that this forum does not serve as a means for reporting false positives or disputing detections or blocks. In this case the detection name is not uses and the alert seems to have come from Fortinet.
  4. @ztrhgf Your post was moved here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/12510-virus-signature-update-ended-with-an-error-0x1106/
  5. Please make sure that you use the latest version of Endpoint v5 and ERA v5. Try deleting the content of the mirror folder. We'd strongly recommend upgrading to ERA v6 and Endpoint v6 for maximum protection. Only ESET Endpoint Security v6 was able to protect from EternalBlue exploit during the recent WannaCry outbreak. For updates, we recommend using an HTTP Proxy to cache update files instead of using a local mirror that downloads a lot of data with each update that is never needed by clients.
  6. It's up to you. Potentially unsafe applications cover legitimate tools that can be misused in the wrong hands for malicious purposes. They may cover remote admin tools, serial key finders, coin miners, etc.
  7. Please read my first post in this topic and follow the advice.
  8. There's no alert about a trojan or malware triggered by ESET. The problem is that the certificate used for https communication was revoked. Here's what a browser reports without ESET installed: An error occurred during a connection to bookhd.ca. Peer's Certificate has been revoked. Error code: SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE Also there's a certificate common name mismatch: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=bookhd.ca&ignoreMismatch=on&latest
  9. MacOS High Sierra is coming later this year. That said, we don't officially support until it's officially released.
  10. Dropbox,Wetrasfer,Onedrive, there are many file sharing services available.
  11. Please provide a screen shot of the alert that ESET triggers on the software in question.
  12. The internal server error has been fixed on our servers. Please confirm that you are not getting it any more.
  13. The problem with Defender was addressed in the latest v6.5 version. In the mean time, Microsoft fixed it on their part too.
  14. Please wait for a new version of SysRescue which should be released soon. I would strongly recommend using the ESET SysRescue Creator instead of 3rd party tools.
  15. What error do you get with ESET Outlook plug-in enabled? Does the issue occur even with all other plug-ins disabled?
  16. First of all, please post in English as this is an English forum. Otherwise moderators and most of users will not understand you. If ESET cannot be uninstalled in a standard way, use the Uninstall tool in safe mode as per the instructions at http://support.eset.com/kb2289. Then install it from scratch with default settings. Should the problem persist, please provide more details and let us know if temporarily disabling real-time protection makes a difference.
  17. Check under Admin -> Notifications if you have "License limit alert" notification enabled. If all license-related notifications are disabled, please post a screen shot of the alert that you see in ERA.
  18. What happens if you switch to pre-release updates in the advanced update setup and then try to open the website in Firefox?
  19. Every file that is detected and is cleaned by ESET is quarantined automatically as well.
  20. That's because all posts have been made just recently. Today is a national holiday in our country, hence it took some time to approve your posts.
  21. We don't know yet what is causing the internal server error. For some reason, the update server responded with a specific error code. The issue is being investigated, however, module updates should be downloaded alright.
  22. I'd say the user had archives with prehistoric malware on the machine. If not all files were detected (e.g. innocuous ones were included in the archives as well), the scanner prompted the users for an action and no action was selected at the end of the scan. Changing the cleaning mode to strict cleaning would cause the scanner not to wait for users action and all files (including PUAs and archives containing also clean files) would be cleaned automatically.
  23. Even then it should not be blocked by ESET. Let's wait for OP to post more info.
  24. The url doesn't appear to be blocked by ESET and I was able to open it in a browser alright.
  25. There's no history of Windows updates in ESET. If you don't want ESET to notify you about missing Windows updates, you can disable them in the advanced setup -> Tools -> MS Windows update.
