  1. Please continue in the existing topic https://forum.eset.com/topic/14607-outlook-add-in-problem/ and let us know what version of MS Exchange Outlook connects to. In order to prevent duplicate topics on a same subject, we'll draw this one to a close.
  2. That's correct. We have a fix on a to-do list, in particular to make a specific operation perform differently which will affect Samsung Magician and maybe other benchmark test with virtually no influence on real-life usage.
  3. Besides disabling the alerts I'd also recommend setting strict cleaning in the real-time protection and web protection setup so that potentially unwanted applications are cleaned automatically without waiting for user's interaction.
  4. ESSP has also Data encryption and Password manager applications included when compared with ESET Internet Security. If you want to upgrade to it, purchase upgrade of your license for a small of fee.
  5. Which thread do you mean? I've found only one similar topic in our forums but there was no fix mentioned since the issue discussed there was not a problem of ESET.
  6. It depends on how big changes are made to browsers. If there were some kind of insider preview versions before a new version is released to the public, we could prepare for the release and make the necessary changes in advance.
  7. Please try deleting cached data. For me it started to work afterwards. The issue has been reported to engineers for further investigation.
  8. The fact that the mentioned updates were not installed automatically shouldn't have anything to do with ESET. Theoretically the web scanner could interfere with downloading Windows updates, e.g. if Microsoft changed the certificate but if there was not even an attempt to download the updates I would completely rule out ESET.
  9. The second setting is applicable only for ESET Endpoint Security since it's antispam-related.
  10. Please be more specific as to what kind of alerts you mean. Is it threat alerts, certain notifications or changes of the protection status?
  11. Delete the file \Logs\eScan\ndl24570.dat or better all files in the escan folder if you don't need on-demand scan log details. Most likely you had logging of all scanned files enabled last year which caused large logs to be generated.
  12. Please confirm that the following workaround works: 1, For ESET Endpoint Antivirus or ESET Endpoint Security, disable "Sent email": 2, For ESET Endpoint Security, disable "Add recipient addresses from outgoing messages" in addition to the above:
  13. Are you behind a router with NAT? Are the attacks coming from outside or from other devices in the network?
  14. Only by setting the log lifetime to 0 days. Why do you want to do that? I don't recommend deleting logs immediately.
  15. You can temporarily disable scanning of sent email.
  16. You cannot block already cached content. As for blocking addresses by category, Parental Control is what you need. However, it won't work 100% since not every single domain is categorized, or some domains may be miscategorized, etc.
  17. First of all, it's a good practice to let the initial scan run and complete after installation even on vanilla systems. During the scan, hashes of files are calculated which subsequently improves performance. Regarding the policy with the initial scan disabled not working, I'd suggest contacting customer care for further investigation. After installation it takes about a minute for policies to be applied so it could be that the initial scan started earlier. Was it the latest v6.6.2072 that you installed?
  18. Instead of disabling the ESET add-in, temporarily disable scanning of outgoing email which shouldn't be needed as long as you have real-time protection enabled and scanning files that are attached to email.
  19. Do you have any other non-standard add-on installed in Outlook? If somebody is willing to arrange a remote session on Friday (Feb 9) between 10 AM CET and 15 PM CET, let me know. Since we were unable to reproduce the issue on our part, our engineers would connect remotely to your machine to pinpoint the issue.
  20. Please check if you have Egress Switch among installed add-ins (File -> Options -> Add-ins). You can also try to disable all add-ins but ESET (COM Add-ins -> Go) and see if it makes a difference. If that resolves the issue, re-enable the add-ins, one at a time, to narrow it down.
  21. Yeah, the date 17/11/1396 is really weird. One thing that could cause no files to be scanned are exclusions; maybe the OP had the whole c: drive accidentally excluded from scanning. Also the fact that the issue was gone after a clean install would explain that.
  22. The availability of ESMC (ERA v7) will be announced here as well as via other standard channels. Just for illustration, merging lists will look like as follows:
  23. I was unable to reproduce it. Does the issue occur only with HTML emails? Do you have adding a tag signature to outgoing scanned email enabled? Does the issue manifest also if you send an email to yourself? Does temporarily disabling the options for adding addresses to the antispam address book make a difference?
  24. Nope, ecls appears to scan files alright, however, by default it reports only malicious files and errors (which are normal since quite many files are open exclusively by the operating system). At the end of a scan with ecls you should see a relatively big number of scanned files in the final report. As for the issue with scanning from gui, what version of the product do you have installed? If possible, please generate a Procmon log; start logging prior to running a scan and stop logging after the scan completes with 0 scanned files. When done, save the log and compress it. Also collect logs with ELC (make sure to select also ESET Computer scan logs). Then upload both archives to a safe location (e.g. Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.) and drop me a private message with download links.
