See hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3641/, part II.: Configure policy settings so that clients download updates from the mirror.

If you don't have thousands of computers in the network, you'd save quite much Internet traffic by using a proxy server instead of creating a mirror.

Hi @achraf,

I heard the proxy is good to use when you have 1000 computers,

in less the Agent should take care of the updates with a minimum

use of resources.

Nevertheless depends on what your company hire as connection,

so... whats your speed Dn/Up?

Agent doesn't download updates for Endpoint, however it downloads an installer if a software install task is performed. Basically if you use the all-in-one ERA v6 installer, any Endpoint you'll install from ERA will be configured automatically to connect through the proxy. Of course, a proxy server can be installed at any time.

@Marcos, I know. :) Was not my intention to say the Agent make

     the updates or download them.

I try to say other thing but in the rush of the moment I not

put the rest of the words. Sorry for the confusion. :(
