Cannot update signature database

Eset tells me that my signature database is outdated / has never been updated. When doing so it starts updating, but eventually ends with a "general compiler error". CLicking on the providing link, I end up on a "end of life" page. https://help.eset.com/eol/?ug=home_v10. I literally just bought the product... Can anyone please help?

Hello @dahlson,

Which ESET product do you use and which version of it have you installed?

I would recommend to uninstall it and after a system reboot install an up to date one, downloaded from ESET web...

Hey, it's ESET Smart Security 10.1.245.1. It does say it's the most current version. Is it? I will try uninstalling it.

Hello @dahlson,

current version is 15.0.23.0, download and install it from https://www.eset.com/int/home/internet-security/download/#download-manually ESET Internet Security is replacement product for ESET Smart Security, Support for version 10 ended in February 2019.

Uninstallation, system reboot and installation of current version should resolve it for you.
