Administrators Marcos 5,290 Posted January 21, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 21, 2020 Since this is an English forum, kindly please post in English so that moderators and other users can understand and help you. Regarding the prompt message, it's really weird and I'd rather expect it when opening the repository in a browser. Please continue as follows: - under Help and support -> Details for customer care, enable advanced logging - run update to reproduce the issue - stop logging - collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here. What is the new password for Windows security updates from Eset? Something is not right here. The Win 10 notification alert in German which I don't understand appears to be stating that that msdl.microsoft.com is somehow related to Eset update processing. Per Robtex, that domain server appears to be hosting content related to Edge browser: Quote Msdl.microsoft.com has a chain of three CNAMEs ultimately pointing to a-0016.a-msedge.net. A-0016.a-msedge.net has one IP number. IP address is 204.79.197.219. I would proceed with caution here. As far as I am aware, Eset is not using any such MS server to host its update content. What may be going on here is some type of DNS cache poisoning/spoofing. In any case, an Eset update would never require entry of a password as far as I am aware of. itman 1,756
This Eset update issue might have been caused by OP's ISP provider in the form of a network "glitch" on their part. Will have to wait to see if OP re-posts on the issue.
