Hello Hungtt,

the ESET service runs under the local system account, does it have access to that folder? It should be accessible for Everyone.

In case granting the access rights won't help. I would recommend you to switch to http service, you just need to open the port on server's firewall.

Hello Hungtt,

user is probably logged in as an user from that domain, that is why it works.

Try to access the shared local folder as a local (not domain) user or even better as local system.

I'd suggest distributing update files via an http server instead of local shares to avoid hassles with rights and the limit for the number of concurrent connections that operating systems have. Ideally you should use an http proxy instead of a local mirror which will also reduce the amount of data downloaded from ESET's update servers.

+1 for HTTP server.  Too many issues using a SMB share.  I am using IIS to distribute the updates and have a second folder where I store the A/V packages for easy distribution within my network.  Any will work though, Apache, Nginix, etc.

We have seen this behavoir in case of Windows XP and I do not recall final solution.

What I think is that you need to enable "Anonymous access to network shares", see for example this article. Be aware that this configuration may not be secure.
